Lashlee

Told yall back in January, we were going to light shìt up with Lash & King...

And don't forget, we didn't have a Spring camp, which means we missed several months of install which was pivotal for a brand new offense & building chemistry.

It's gonna take time, but as the season progresses you'll see this Offense running at optimum level...

FSU & UVA are gonna catch an asswhoopin they're not prepared for, they gonna leave Hard Rock with the sniffles snot bubbles popping out their noses crying mad AF like, "Nah bruh this shìt unfair, we ain't even do nothing to yall! Yall coulda took the first team out in the 2nd quarter!"

We had the ball for 21 minutes and put up 47. Harley dropped one that would have made it a 50 burger.

Miami has an offense, folks. Oh yeah.

Baker is not the problem. We all compare the defense Manny ran to Baker and the d-tackles we had back then were alot better. Imagine if Rousseau was playing that would make the defense alot better. They will get better
I'm going to have to disagree with you here my friend. I'm not buying it. First off I don't think that the DTs we had in 2016-2018 we're better to the extent you are suggesting. You do have a point however that Norton/McIntosh and then Willis/Whoever were better DT tandems than Silvera/Ford etc. This is a contributing factor but not the main reason for our decline in play.

Would Rousseau have made an impact? Of course he would of but again this is not the main contributing factor. So what is the main factor? Baker and it's quite obvious. Bakers scheme while having the same underlying philosophy as Diaz is actually very different from Manny's defense when he was DC. Manny is just a much better coordinator and he has been able to tweak his scheme here and there to make it much more effective in fitting with our players strengths. Diaz was also much more aggressive with his front 7 and while Diaz would have some hiccups by playing too soft on the back end at times, he always seemed to adjust well, see his mistakes then correct them.

Baker is much more conservative by nature. Sometimes it seems like he is willingly conceding a first down to the opponent in exchange for the security he feels by knowing that at least it won't be a scoring play. The thing is he doesn't need to be that soft and conservative. An other thing that separates the two DCs is that Baker doesn't seem to have nearly the command that Diaz had of the defense. Baker also seems to lack a great deal of situational knowledge of his own defense. He seems content to stick to the general philosophical base of the defense and is unable or unwilling to tweek or adjust any aspect of his defense as it's drawn up. This is a huge liability. Overall Baker is much more aligned with the Bend but don't Break type of mentality as opposed to the aggressive mindset. He desperately tries to reconcile both schools of thought but it just doesn't work well since he has a very difficult time figuring out how to best put his athletes in the best position to make plays. Baker is just not adapting well to the upgrade in talent at his disposal. He just flat out doesn't know what to do with it.

LCE, that's what has me excited the most. You could tell from last night that Lashlee was coaching his *** off, telling players where to go, etc and that there were some times where all of our players didn't see what he saw. These kids are still learning but as they continue to get better, which will allow him to install more AND go quicker? Look out!
We still don't even truly have the pace that dude wants. This **** is going to be fun to watch. And when it's fun for the fans, it's fun for the recruits. When it's fun for the recruits, they want to play for you. Everything is going to hinge on our evals because with this O we're going to have kids wanting to play for us. Good stuff!!

Salute the offensive staff.

Lashlee went run heavy against UAB trying to out talent them and not show too much in film.

Louisville studies the tape thinking “”Miami is going to be a running team”

Then we come out and pass on the first play of the game early and often!

I love that

Lashlee was an absolute savage, and you could tell he didn’t seem challenged by anything LVille did. Every time LVille put a drive together and scored, Lashlee would just take the life out of them. Everybody is eating at the house of Lashlee. Rooster and Cam shined and you saw Lashlee put Don in and tried to get him some highlights. Lashlee also had both TE’s eating. What’s crazy is we normally run 80 plays a game and only ran 60 last night because we scored so quickly so often.

On paper yes, but the mope in me figures jt4 would have jt4'ed his way out of the offense by now...
JT4's issues were compounded by the fact he was playing in Pro Style bro offense that didn't play to his strengths.

He wouldn't have been a malcontent if he were playing in an offense more conducive to productivity.

He really wasn't even that bad, our fans just don't know how many high maintenance players there are on winning teams, if people think JT4 was bad they'd be on suicide watch if they knew half of the story of how kids in locker rooms like Bama, LSU, Oh St, UGA & Clemson get down.

He would've been fine with Lashlee because Lashlee would utilize his skill set properly & feed him the ball.

**** let's get him back then, it's not like he's doing anything these days. =P

Developing a healthy man crush on Lashlee!!! Loved how in multiple occasions he called the offense together, pulled the mask off and re- focussed the offense on what Looserville was doing and what we had to do. NO clappy, NO go go stuff, just keeping his kids very focussed!, strategy/tactic keeping. Reacting to the defense and clearly COMMUNICATING to our kids!

Lashlee is legit... enjoy his work while we can. Wish we could get someone similar to coach the other side of the ball

The difference between Lashlee and Enos (and Golden on the other side of the ball for that matter) is that Lashlee fundamentally understands the underlying nature of the game, whereas Enos/Golden are the type to just memorize equations - like when you call into technical support and get someone overseas and all they do is read from a script. Lashlee can strategize and adjust not only to what personnel he has to work with, but also to what the other side is doing to oppose him. It's such a refreshing change to have someone like that here.
