Lashlee to SMU Done

Lashlee was solid here, best OC we’ve had in a while but there’s some revisionist history going on with the run game. Sure blocking has a lot to do with it, but the endless runs up the middle with our scat back, rarely calling any runs to the outside, and how many 4th and 1s have we had the past 3 games and he’s run it up the middle every single time with little success.

And also the predictability of whenever we convert a big play and we hurry to the LOS, everyone knows it’s a handoff right up the middle putting us in 2nd and long too many times.

Well one positive is that whoever coaches this team next year will have big money for a coordinator. Lashlee is good, but there are better OC's out there. And now we can afford them.

Amazing how those same plays got big gains once we got a QB who could keep defenses honest tho.
 
Rhett got lucky the minute TVD took over. If that doesn't happen, this board and this fan base would have turned him into Enos 2.0. Good for Rhett. Seems like a nice enough guy.

Who was responsible for finding TVD and bringing him to us? Was is Jon Richt?

Finding a great qb in Connecticut of all places is like finding a needle in a haystack. Well done and I'm sure Rhett is forever grateful.

That **** don’t matter bro! They had GO5 oline going up against GO5 dline. We have P5 oline (most are highly recruited 4 star olinemen) going up against low 3 star P5 dline in the ACC, yet don’t create a push smh. Doing less with more.

Say what you want about Lashlee, he was a breath of fresh air after Richt and Enos. More importantly, he showed the next HC what this offense is capable of with TVD and the talent returning next year. If the next OC tries installing some 1990's bro-style bull**** they won't be around long.
