Matochia is the one being slept on, he’s a lot better than even the staff thought. Plus he’s a really good athlete and a big kid on top of it.
LOL. Chris Stock was trying to say that Proctor the walk-on stood out more than him.

At this point, I want to know how someone plans to get the offensive line to play better. The strength and conditioning guy is probably more important than any offensive coordinator.
This is OT, but as a former S&C coach myself (and there are several of us on this board), I'd argue that the S&C coach is as important as any coordinator position, but always the least paid on staff for some reason. Coordinators and position coaches running around with $1.5million+ salaries while there are only 8 strength coaches making over $500k.

Correct me if I am wrong but it is obvious to me that our offensive linemen are not doing enough squats, leg presses, lunges and leg extensions during the summer to build up the proper lower body strength to block effectively. Also, I can tell by their poor footwork that they are not jumping rope nor doing enough agility work to get their feet in the proper place to block. Most fans are clueless to this but it is very obvious to me.

I really like what Feely is doing. Everything I've seen from him (outside of the 110s that I'm pretty sure were a mental drill) is rooted in modern sports science, down to the pre-game potentiation with light Olympic lifts rather than the traditional stretches that science is like "nah"

It's tough to say - I think Feeley is doing a pretty good job for the most part; admittedly I'm not super engaged into the specifics of his on or off-season programming.

This is gonna be hard to hear but the reality generally is that you can't make an unathletic person athletic through S&C. The reason Bama, LSU and Clemson have better lines than us is because they recruit better linemen to begin with.

Ha, does he really do that? That's great. My Master's research here at UM was focused on PAP (post-activation potentiation) as well. If so, good stuff.

I agree but in order to get better players, you have to develop what you have. I never understood why if Miami cannot find 5 guys to play the majority of the staff they why they just don't use more players. Depth could help if there is a lack of talent on the offensive line.
