I'm glad we cleaned house... Don't get me wrong...
But this dude helped steer the boat back to shore after golden was fired...
Great player coach...
Class act...
Thank you Larry Scott... Godspeed...

A fluke lateral play away from being 3-3 in final six games.

Nobody had a clue who this guy was until he was promoted to temp HC on the worst coaching staff in the country.

Thank you and have a nice life Larry.

He said "let loose" so now he's a great coach and hope he's retained. Because he said that, he's a great coach. Great motivator.

Most of us would leave for 50% raise or whatever he was offered but I'm sure it was a significant amount.

I was fine with the performance of the TE's under him but the revisionist history (especially by the local media) of his job performance as HC is comical. It's almost as if because Dook happened that this didn't:

He wasn't hired to be UT's head coach or ours. Good position coach and I wish him well.

He allowed Coley to cost him a meteoric rise in coaching ranks; hopefully lesson learned, don't hand the keys to the stupid drunk guy, a bowl win woulda been huge

Decent position coach but think it was for the best that he moved on. He was obviously not happy with some things Richt was doing with the program.

We lost to washington state on a december 26th bowl game. Nuff said

First off, COLEY lost us this game. **** even Dno cant be blamed for this loss..our defense played lights out in the second half. Well enough to win thats for **** sure.

Second off, anyone $hittin on the job that Larry did as an INTERIM coach probably woke up this morning to their wife or girl on their period. This guy knew he wasnt going to be the head coach. His only job was to steer the ship and get us to a bowl game and end the year with a respectable record. Would have been great to be 9-4 but ****...we were what we were..an 8-5 team. **** Golden had 8 NFL draft picks and another who was a UFA but still started at times (Armbrister) on his squad last year and couldnt even muster up 8 wins.. Let the man live...He has moved on, got him a nice payday and I am happy for him.

No balls , coley and no d should of been strong armed . That d would of been simplified the minute golden was gone .coley is that @ss clown still around ? I thought he was interviewing in ga ?

Yeah, or he wasn't happy only being offered the WR position. I'm going to side with that one rather than ol Larry having some big picture conflict with Mark Richt. A guy that still spouts Golden's company lines isn't going to venture into philosophical disagreement territory with a real head coach.

Glad to see that the Vols will now get a minor staph infection of Frauldenisms. Larry doomed himself when he made no staph changes. He bought into the Feaulden status quo.

For all that crap I talked in my post above...a position coach job was all he deserved to be offered. Hopefully he wasnt expecting to be an Associate HC. But he made good choice..if you are only going to be a position coach..**** at least double your money. And in Knoxville his salary will go alot farther too.

Agreed. Every good coach on staff can't get that AHC title. Otherwise it becomes meaningless and/or too expensive if there's an attached requisite pay raise. Scott at minimum probably expected to keep his TE job here and get some sort of raise because he had what he perceived as cache from being the interim. He's a good positions coach and will do well but my main criticism was just how far the local media was exaggerating his success as interim. More than a few debated with a straight face if he should get a legit interview for the HC job.

He gets more $$$$$ and gets to live in a great place to raise a family. Good for him. Bye
