Larry Scott to Tennesee

Wtf... i thought he was being retained! Are the keyboard warriors about to go after pete like they did Geo

Probably good to have a fresh staff with no ties to the previous debacle. With that said I liked Scott and thought he handled the end of the season with class and wish nothing but the best moving forward.

Not quite sure what to make of the news - offered by UM and was wanted back "badly" but instead chooses Tennessee.

I liked Scott and I know the players did, too. Very odd that he would leave unless he didn't feel he had security here long term.

EDIT - Now that I think about it, if I were "promoted" into a senior leadership role at my job, and then they found a replacement, I'm not sure I'd be ok with being demoted back to my original position again, especially if I did a pretty decent job in the interim.

Good luck to him either way - he made moderately happy to watch UM football for the first time in quite a while.

Prob wanted an additional title, Co-OC etc and a raise. or he thought it was better to start fresh

Great...Scott was the best coach on Folden's staff but thats not saying much. Glad he landed on his feet elsewhere.

Everybody trying to get the South FLorida connects..hilarious

It's a good time to be an average/horrible coach with SFL "connections". Not saying Larry Scott was average or horrible but speaking generally. These dudes with "connections" bout to earn jobs they don't deserve and get paid decent money just cuz they "know some ppl" or grew up around here.

Yup - was in the middle of editing my post when you said this. Definitely think it was career/pride driven over anything else. Most of us would have done the same thing.

is this the part where someone starts a "DAE WINSLOW/SHOCKEY/SOMEONEWITHNOEXPERIENCE AS TE COACH?!??!?!111" thread?
