Larry Scott and Hurlie Brown

Two Coaches who were great here who Diaz should think about bringing back.
Larry Scott is a great special teams and TE coach but he played OL in college and i could see him revamping this unit like it was under his tenure

Hurlie brown was a Great recruiter at LB and Defense and Really coached up those LB and DB’s he recruited. Most of the DB’s we have playing in the NFL were recruited by him

Scott is an underrated coach but only has 1 year OL coaching experience. I don't doubt he could do well, but more seasoning there would be nice.

From what i saw and read about online his expertise is blocking when it comes to teaching TE and he has a pretty good track record there i would say and even now he has FL TE playing better

Not disagreeing and he also did play it. It just seems kind of risky for OL. Tight end? If Field wasn't a promising guy and a good recruiter, then bring him back any time.

Just so you guys know....

Coach Larry Scott is at punk a*** Uf now as a Tight ends coach left Tenn last year.

He went to to toe in recruiting the Lakeland boys ( Keon Zipperer , Lloyd Summerall) with Coach Hartley when he was on staff last year. Also pulled in K. Bogle. No lie Has Kyle Pitts TE soph playing at elite status level some media rated him one of the best TE in the SEC.

but I GUESS whatever! LOL

GO CANES!

You have to remember from a recruiting stand point Hurlie brown did not miss on talent going all the way back to getting Jermain Grace to A three star Rayshawn Jenkins, redwine who nobody really wasn’t recruiting. He coached our LB under Golden which underperformed from a scheme point but never from a talent point
That was mostly because Golden wanted fat cows playing instead of fleet Cane lbs. I thought Hurlie was doing real good job. DId Mark fire Scott or did he leave because he didn't get the HC job? He would have been good to keep. Golden staff actually recruited much better than coached.

From what i heard coach Scott was able to stay but with a small role because Coach Mark wanted Hartley as TE coach. I think may have been Quality control on offense and Special teams coach. He went to Tenn because they cut that check for him. MAY HAVE BEEN SALTY?

Coach MR- Let Hurlie Brown go after being the last regime. Hurlie was the first person to assist MR in touring the campus and go on recruiting trails with him to keep some commits...after a week or two was let go. Some say Mark Richt is a choir boy but he is just as savage with the best of them.

Hurlie was a HC at merrit island high last i checked
Still is... Working to bring the program back to elite status. Since they change laws players can attend anywhere nowadays so most of them go to Cocoa High, Rockledge High and Viera High schools to play.

Scott’s done an amazing job there with Pitts. I don’t see why he would come back here.

And yeah, fûck the gaytors.

That sound right about Scott. Mistake by Mark(not his only one). Him and Hurlie were about the only coaches worth keeping, although Art's replacement have been no improvement. Mark is from the midwest and they all think they are nice. He moved to Boca. He did seem to find religion with St Bobby. The difference was Bobby NEVER let it get in the way of playing thugs and trash if they could run and hit. I remember UGA kind of force Mark to cut out missionary stuff in off season to recruit harder.

When not sinning, I am a very devote Catholic. Mark is a good man and in the end, that is what matters. He was better man the Bobby as proven by the way both ended. Bobby, like Joe Pa, was selfless until the end. Mark left like a Cane doing good for the program and family and did us proud.
