Larrys got a ring, something many coaches only dream of. He's a good guy on top of that so I'm happy for him.
Larry Coker is a good man, but his W/L trend as a head coach on the otherhand...

Looks like hands clapping.

Does anyone else find it interesting that his wins decreased at approximately the same rate that his losses increased?
26-32 at a program he built but 0 bowl appearances. Ol' Slappy is another guy that'd have been better served career-wise longterm if he had only aspired to just be a coordinator at a big name college program or the NFL.

Depends. Job security for coords is much less than for HCs. He's 67 yrs old now. His contract with UTSA pays him ~500k for the next 3 years for doing nothing. Not a bad early retirement.

It boggles my mind Ol' Larry is only 67. That guy has looked 80 years old since 1999. Wish him the best though. Golden for UTSA? He has ample experience coaching a group of 5 team to the peak of mediocrity, and UTSA is almost to that point already!

Had bowl eligible type seasons in his first two years in FBS (quickest team to get to that level in college football history IIRC). Unfortunately, NCAA wouldn't allow them to go to a bowl, because they were technically still on that weird probationary period. Georgia Southern had the same issue last year after they won the Sun Belt. Unfortunate. Coker did a good job building UTSA up from nothing. Within two years of football, UTSA was winning 8 games in FBS football.
