He wouldn’t look the same. This Miami the offensive staff does absolutely nothing to improve quarterback play. The portal quarterback literally have to come here as they finished product from the previous school.

If Emery Williams hits the portal and goes to a competent coaching staff that will make him looks productive……. then you get your answer. I’ll just how bad this offensive coaching staff is.

He’s always been an upside prospect but no one brings up how bad this O-line has been and then this year it’s been doubled by how bad Mike Shula has been. Again, consensus is you put him around some playmakers and a competent O-line and you have one of the best QBs in the country and somebody with a good chance to be the 1st QB off the board. That’s not my opinion, that from Mcshay, Reddick, Herbie, etc. I would say Kiper but I consider that a discredit to this opinion.

Agreed. There were football pundits who projected Tyler Van Dyke as a potential first round pick after his first nearly full season. How did that work out?

Sellers seems like the kind of quarterback that has rare traits that don’t have anything to do with being a passer. Maybe they sign him and he is a one year wonder like Cam was only he’s more Vince Young than Cam Ward. I’d be cool with that.

I’d rather have a quarterback with elite traits as a passer, a reader of defenses, presence in the pocket. If he can avoid a sack and run for 25 yards that’s a plus but down the list if we have to rely on hero ball.

Maybe I’m wrong and probably am. I will rely on the quarterback gurus on the board who see the little things that are serious flaws rather than rely on highlight films.

They are looking at it more from an NFL perspective, not a CFB perspective. For us why would/should we put all our eggs in a basket of a guy who actually hasn't proven he can throw the ball good. You can say it's all on the OLine, or it's all on the weapons, or whatever... But the top QBs still show they can complete passes, they make big time throws, and they limit their turnovers.

This would be a bet on the potential, it just may not one worth making if there are other options. It really depends who is in portal. I want a playmaker, but I want a guy that is accurate too and can throw in obvious must throw situations
 
Great potential but the is NFL is where he can be a bigger main stay than college obviously.

Seeing sellers Miss wide open receivers, going to have some of yall looking like Tommy boy pulling his hair out venting .

Yes if available and willing to join. You don’t say no to that type of talent. He needs experience and coaching.

I know it because I know what my eyes see. Nickel is not close to being ready and at best, it would be his junior year where he is ready and that’s not even a guarantee. The other guy coming in in this recruiting class is going to be a freaking freshman, so I can guarantee you he ain’t ready either. Those are the only two options and neither will be ready. So going to need to get another portal quarterback this year if we want to contend.
