So we have a Miami/USC/Georgia fan that wants Lane Kiffin as our corch...it all makes sense now.
Ding Ding Ding.....finally somebody provided a legitimate reason. Good job sir. The team quit on Lane. Thats speculation based off of rumors at the time but its better than what has been provided so far in this thread. Yes...definitely get somebody thats good at his job. A successful candidate as a coach would be somebody thats confident...great talent evaluator and recruiter....somebody that can develop his players....somebody that can manage or either coach one side of the ball at a high level...somebody that can put together a great staff....and somebody with great mentors. Which of those qualities does Kiffin not possess?
The Lane haters always claiming It would be so dumb but based off of what? Dude was hired to coach the Raiders at age 31. THE RAIDERS! With Al Davis's micromanaging ***. Anybody would've been doomed for failure. Especially a young talent unwilling to be somebody's puppet. Only allowed one and a quarter season to prove himself after falling out of favor with Al Davis, just like almost every coach he hired. People forget Davis traded Gruden. Lane was successful at TN. Their record improved and the fans were ****ed when he threw the deuces. But if your dream job become available, wouldn't you take it? Then when he coached at USC, they were on probation. Seasons with 70 or less players instead of 85. Top players leaving like free agency, but still no losing season. Young talent with no depth.
It's a reason that he has been offered top jobs at such a young age, the dude is talented. He made some bad decisions, which most young people do which put him in positions that were difficult to be successful in. He should've stayed at Tn. He learned from some of the best, Carroll and Saban. He has a large amount of experience and he ain't even 40 yet. Everybody knows he's in a league of his own coaching offense, he's a beast recruiter and he hires an elite staff. He would kill in Miami.

1.) Bolded- Based off the fact that he has FAILED AS A HC Wherever he went
2.)Bolded- He has been offered jobs because...1.) he's Monty Kiffin's kid who has connections...and he lived off oof the Reggie Bush/Leinart USC glory years.
3.)Bolden- Again...Pete Carrol coaches defense and is very hands on there...He wasnt under Carrol's Tutelage just on staff...He has been on Sabans staff not even a year...Saban is hands on defense..coaching his position up..dude aint learning sh*t under Saban.
He could recruit...but Miami sells itself...dont know whats this obsession of recruiting..just WIN...and these bandwagon south florida kids are coming....got **** Jonathan Martin could be the head coach.
Keep Kiffin sorry *** far away from here.....Dude is a spoiled lil baby that has shown nothing impressive imo...and had Saban not scooped him he would be coaching at a mid major program if that....

Saban is hands on in every aspect of the game the OCs before Kiffen had to run Sabans offense not the other way around, Kiffin is allowed to coach the way he wants under Sabans to the point you see Saban yelling at Kiffin in games because he doesn't agree with the play calling. Kiffin has full control over the offense at Alabama he's making a former RB look like a serviceable QB, his play calling has nothing more than good he's adapting his coaching to the players and players are loving Kiffin. That offense is energized through Lane Kiffin yes Kiffin is a Confident prick but he believes in all 11 players on offense, the dude is challenging the way Nick Saban thinking of offense were Nick is no longer conservative. If Kiffen is the coach during the FSU game no ****ing way we lose that game. Kiffin has been given those chances because he's an amazing offensive mind and you have to have a good football IQ to coach for Saban. Tbh I rather have a confident prick who believes every play he calls is going to be a touchdown than the fat dumbass who calls the game to not lose.
kIFFIN ISNT EVEN A GOOD OC..YALL FOOLS SMOKING...
hE SUCKS....
He coached at USC...with a laundry list of 5 star and nfl guys...and now at bama...where he has beast all over and his offense looks rinky dink as ****...their qb plays back yard ball....he doesnt know when to be run oriented,
what exactly does he do to impress people?..Other than his wife....and....
Nick Saban coaches d...and micro manages that.....he could give two sh*ts about offense..and likely stays out of their way so he aint learning sh*t from saban's supposed special powers.lol
If *****in was fat and bald these dudes wouldn't be all lathered up over him. These dudes on here get these homoerotic crushes on the young cool swashbuckling coaches all the time. They were all worked up over Kingsbury before he went 4-8 this year.
Yup. It's why the Golden Girls fell in love with their man Al. Slick hair and he was about 700 pounds thinner when he took the Miami job. The coach crush phenomenom needs to stop.
And too many people get caught up in this recruiting crap.

Why is hard to understand that he is a good OC but not a HC. He is an immature, pompous, arrogant little prick. He has been that way his whole life. He feels entitled cause of his dad. He is not a CEO type. I know people that worked for the jags and Kiffin worked there. He was in his twenties and everyone hated him. Hasn't changed a lick
If we're going to "the Saban tree" ... I'd take Kiffin over Cristobal.
The recruiting love Cristobal gets is overrated. And he doesn't improve either side of the ball. Kiffin can get us a legit O, himself ... So, he only has to get 1 coordinator right. Cristobal has to get both.
At one point ... Pete Carroll and Bill Belichek were "train wreck coaches". But age and experience has improved both.
If Kiffin was hired, I wouldn't be upset.
