It's simple. I loved the hire. But after witnessing this debacle I'm willing to hire anyone just as long as I don't have to watch another MR called Offense. I've been a season ticket holder and donor a very long time and have a little knife still stuck in my back when Butch left. But I would take him over this pathetic regime right freaking now.

Completely agree. When we hired him, I was stoked. Actually, pumped until this year. The mishandling of quarterbacks, the recruiting class, the obvious and lackluster play calling, has me convinced he isnt it.

Give him an assistant head coach title/oc and pay him 1.5 million plus. He would fix a lot of Miami problems tbh. And eventually take over the head coaching job when richt leaves or retire

Make the O side of the ball his HC try out. He can pick an OL coach and maybe 1 assistant. Then hire Schiano as the DC and we are rolling again.

Lane isn't stupid... He did THIS for a reason.. I personally don't think he leaves a place where he's the king of the castle to be an understood again buuut stranger things...
