He built Oregon and he's building us. He'd be unemployed for approx 48 hours if he hit the open market tomorrow.Mario isn’t in demand for the top jobs. He’s traditionally done less with more.

No. Not at all. I'm not saying that he's wrong for leaving.... it's how it was done. Every person has a right to do better for themselves and family. I am also aware that anytime there's a breakup, there is gonna be some hurt feelings involved. But Lane, or whoever is speaking for him, is seemingly always handling these things in the worst way...... well except for the USCw exit cause he didn't have a choice there, lol.
How do rivalries start?

I’m sure they said they would. It would appear that the opportunity to win a natty matters to him and the ability to do that is at LSU more so than Ole Miss.Didn't Ole Miss offer to match any salary he got? I don't think this was about doing better for his family...
20-4 the last two years usually gets you an ACCCG - it's been a freak occurrence due to the new scheduling.I don’t know, maybe. Some of those might have him on a list. Not sure he’d be the leader for any of them. The statement I know you know I responded to was that he could have any job he wants. He’s not getting LSU, Bama, UGA, Ohio State… we’ve still never made the ACCCG.
I don’t think he built Oregon. He wouldn’t be at LSU, Bama, UGA or Ohio State. He wouldn’t get any job he wants like the poster in here said who I responded to.He built Oregon and he's building us. He'd be unemployed for approx 48 hours if he hit the open market tomorrow.
Lane Kiffin is the reason Lane Kiffin isn't coaching the team.Again, the NCAA schedule forces coaches to do this now. It’s on them. All the schools are dealing with it. It was the ole miss AD’s decision that kiffin not coach in the playoffs. Kiffin offered. He did nothing wrong at the point we’re talking about. The school AD denied his offer. He’s the reason Lane isn’t coaching the team.
Yes. No.You would have stayed at Ole Miss over LSU? Oregon over Miami?
He’s raised the floor on the program and we are no longer a joke which is most important. But he’s failed to get us to the ACCCG and we are finishing year 4. SMU was inexcusable.20-4 the last two years usually gets you an ACCCG - it's been a freak occurrence due to the new scheduling.
Can’t argue with you on the schedule. Didnt they have to go to overtime to beat Wash State at home? And maybe he did know that deep down. But Personally I dont think there’s a dominant team this year. And they were going into the playoffs with a home game and a healthy roster. After the games I had to stomach the last 3 weeks, no one scares me and everyone looks beatable. Those are pretty **** good odds to not pusue imo.I appreciate your point, but Ole Miss isn’t winning anything and Lane knew it. They had a very weak schedule this year. Beat almost all sub .500 teams and non-P4s.
Lanning was handed the keys to a Ferrari imo.I don’t think he built Oregon. He wouldn’t be at LSU, Bama, UGA or Ohio State. He wouldn’t get any job he wants like the poster in here said who I responded to.
No, he offered to continue the job through conclusion of the season and the AD said no. That was the AD’s choice.Lane Kiffin is the reason Lane Kiffin isn't coaching the team.
Mate, he's left on the verge of the Playoffs and he's told every single staff member "If you're not on this plane with me, we're done".What did Lane say here (or throughout the process) that was wrong?
There are no victims here, certainly not Lane. We don’t know how it all went down on either side, and like you said breakups are messy.
Nope. Lanning turned Mario’s roster like Mario turned Manny’s @Rellyrell has shown us repeatedlyLanning was handed the keys to a Ferrari imo.
Unless your name is Meyer or Saban, I don't think any coach can claim to be able to get the LSU / Bama / UGA or Ohio St jobs.
The officiating in that SMU game was inexcusable, I agree. He’s raised the floor on the program and we are no longer a joke which is most important. But he’s failed to get us to the ACCCG and we are finishing year 4. SMU was inexcusable.
He’s a **** for the pulling the staff thing not for taking another job. You guys are delusionalMate, he's left on the verge of the Playoffs and he's told every single staff member "If you're not on this plane with me, we're done".
If you can't see that he's being a **** there then that says a **** of a lot about you.
He's completely shafted that Ole Miss team. They basically have no O coaches left and the AD has panicked, trying to keep their team together, and Manny Diaz'd his HC hire.
Where the **** is that interview? Looks like it's outside a 1940s prison. If that's Oxford, holf ****, run. Honestly, this interview actually made me feel pity for Kiffin, but lol at God telling him to go Baton Rouge. There's not a god in the heavens telling anyone to go to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I would be calling up a synagogue or mosque at the point for a second opinionWhat did Lane say here (or throughout the process) that was wrong?
