He is a great coach but it would have taken him 2-3 seasons to turn it around.

No way the toxicity around the program would have not swallowed him whole.

Buffalo and Kansas both sucked and the program/fans were patient.

He would have gotten his time… golden and richt both had time to fix the issues. Golden with 5 years and richt got 4-ish years before his health concerns.

Diaz got yanked because he was a stupid hire by a dead man walking AD….

Not saying he would have killed it here but to think he wouldn’t have gotten a fair shake of time is dumb

I'll admit I liked the Golden hire at the time, and mainly because he won games at Temple.
I'm not as averse to the 3-4 as the So Fla "3-4 a cuck to tha 4-3" crowd.
But his style of the 3-4 was a one-of-a-kind disaster. Doing okay on D with the Irish right now tho
