Lammons, Wilson, & Lane...Yea?

Lane is good, no doubt, but to get him they also had to take a safety/linebacker tweener at the corner position and a guy who is 5'8" and runs a 4.7 40. That's good value, if you're USF.

Stop. Wilson and Lammons are very good players.

They are good high school players, but I don't see them being elite at the college level.

They hold offers from just about every major D1 school, both rated 4* on most sites. I know, I know, stars don't matter, but these guys are not scrubs. Both should be serviceable in college.

"WR Ermon Lane believes he can start right away for #Gators, a big part of his choice."

I have no problem with that.

But it's weak as ****.

I'm just surprised that all three committed since if you listened to the Gators, only one had a committable offer.

The more I hear about Lane, the more I don't want him. Sounds like a high school Terrell Owens, a me player.
I'm sure we have guys who think about going 3 and out, but I haven't heard any of our guys announce it.
His plans might change at UF when he realizes that it takes more than just talent? You need heart and character.
It's going to be interesting to see where all these self imagined superstars end up 3-4 years from now.

What's funny is a buddy of mine who's a Gator and follows this recruiting closely said that on NSD since there in the running for some big names they would cut ties with Quincy if they had to make room for a bigger recruit. Now wouldn't that be some ****

Without a good QB you could have the top 5 receivers it wouldn't make one bit of difference, they will appear average.

btw i've said before i felt lane was a bit overrated, but cmon now. the dude ain't scared of no depth chart, he's playing at bama, miami, or usc next year. how many targets would he get at each? who knows, but he sees opportunity at uf. he has said before he's a 3 and out kid so it makes sense to go somewhere where he's getting targeted early and often. that said, i don't believe he would have started at any of his finalists and he won't start at uf next year either.

Lane is going to have a joke, literally, as an offensive coordinator and Quincy may not even play until his junior year.

driskel sucks but lane and others will play with him for a year unless he goes pro (lol @ that thought.) they are selling him on the future qb. and really if you look at it all his finalists will have unproven qb's next year. bama loses mccaron, miami loses morris, etc.

Meh, you can say that about any star receiver on their respective level.

SFL top prospects
#1 DT Clark
#1 WR Lane
#1 ATH Cook
#1 CB Lammons

I love what Golden is doing and know he's the best man for the job in both coaching and recruiting but its still tough to swallow those Dbag Gators coming down here and beating us for a lot of the top talent in our own back yard. That being said, February is still a long ways away and us taking those ******* to the wood shed on Sept 7th might make some of these kids think twice.

stacy coley said he was willing toe redshirt because it will help his growth. aside from lane, i dont care about 2 kids were arent even recruiting.
