why i dont understand the hate for fong switching predictions last second. his job is to tell u where they're going. why not change the prediction if he knows his old one is wrong?
The problem is Fong will give his info and intel on a prospect for months. Sayings it’s school x. And then, Hayes Fawcett, who does 90% of commit edits, will get news of kid committing to school Y. Fong and Fawcett both obvious work together for On3. So 30 min before the kid commits, he flips is CB to school Y.

He, and others for that matter, were now wrong the whole time. And by shared employment, rather than Intel, they switch their CB. Which over time, those “hit” percentages get juiced. Not to mention, it ruins the kids moment.

So yea, it’s fair for some to feel some type of way about it. Is it that deep? To each his own.

People wouldn't have an issue on this if these sites weren't keeping track of the predictions with accuracy %. People don't like that he changes his prediction 8 times in a recruitment and then 10 mins before a commitment changes it and gets credit for being right.

maybe he should raise his expectations for what intel deserves a prediction, but these kids genuinely have zero idea where they're going. they pick an arbitrary date 1-many weeks in advance while they have no clue. if you know where you're going, you commit. we get close to the date and its still "murky", "up in the air", or "he's still deciding". which makes sense bc why would you pick a date not knowing if you'll have made a decision by then. so throughout these recruitments, the leading team changes 100 times and thats where fong should have better criteria for what warrants a prediction (maybe if the kid isn't ready to or not planning on committing soon, place a lower confidence or nothing at all). end of the day i want to know where they're going and am ready for the kid to change their mind before committing. commitment dates are stupid. when you know, if you want a ceremony, plan it then for that week. don't box yourself into a date just for publicity. there'd be less flips and transfers if kids took it more seriously

It's there just gotta close out and hold off. If it wasn't I'd let you guys know the ship sailed. We have more budget for him than A&M and LSU. Not saying that can't change but don't underestimate the recruiting abilities of a certain OT here..
Gaby said there's a recruit he spoke to that said he's going with the biggest bag. Didn't say who, but could this be the one?

you think some of these recruiting dudes pay Hayes Fawcett for the final edit info???? Hayes could be pulling serious money doing that.. Also, for anyone that knows... What does Hayes charge for this edits?

Hayes definitely tips him off

Hey if I'm wrong judge away.
You are a certified G. A real one. No one bats .1000 so if you miss there is no shame in that. You have been right a LOT more than wrong.

However, I think there is a disconnect here in terms of how the staff sees this recruitment. I'm not to sure at this point they feel they are leading or in a pole position to close.

Maybe the kid likes Miami and is relaying that to you but Im not getting vibes from Miami where they are feeling confident about this one.

I hope I am super wrong though. Brown is the best DL in the nation.
