2026 Lamar Brown 5* OT/DT from University Lab in Baton Rouge, LA Commits to LSU

Just weather the TAMU post visit high and keep battling. This has a similar feel to Cantwell recruitment where the recruiting normies automatically think SEC.
I was just thinking that! Every recruit goes thru post visit highs...brown did it to us with those posts!...I look at it as him letting us know we at the table with ATM! Bring it home Mario July 10 is more then enough time for Mario, JT and dlew to cook!!

Easy for me to say but pay the price tag to seal him.. especially if we are whiffing on other high value targets keys and Russell…

Welcome to recruiting. I thought we had Stancil pretty much locked up and felt good about Brown. We shall see. I can see the draw for a lot of schools in college towns. College Station isn't one of them. A&M and College Station, I don't get. The NIL's should be close enough, it is a toss up. Clemson for Stancil, I can get.

It's unpopular but imo it's more evidence that he's a troller. I'm not buying all of the non LSU smoke?!

For a 5th year? If he starts/plays a ton and blows up? Not so fast, my friend.

No need to have this discussion now but it's definitely not a certainty he's on the 2026 roster. And if he's not, it's likely very good news for us.
I don’t think he starts. From all the talks it sounds like like Scott and Blay have been the best 2 DTs. He probably could start in 26 as a senior

Blay and Scott play the same position, penetrating DT (pause) Moten will play Nose in this system and I fully expect him to start with Artavius Jones and Donta Simpson behind him.

On3 LSU Recruiting analyst - Shea Dixon

Baton Rouge 5-star ATH (OL/DL) Lamar Brown has made official visits each weekend for the past few weeks, and the stretch of Miami, Texas, and - this past weekend - Texas A&M.

Each time, he talked up the programs a ton during his trip and afterwards. He's also called LSU his leader in the past few months. As l've said this offseason, his goal was always to take visits, and he has clearly soaked in the process with the visits he's able to make. We've all talked about it, but U-High recruits who attend high school on LSU's campus are around LSU Football so often that they really enjoy getting out and seeing different colleges, and the red carpet gets rolled out on the official visit weekends for 5-stars like Brown.

Now, the news of Sunday evening was Brown telling On3's Hayes Fawcett he no longer plans to make an LSU official visit this coming weekend. The goal for Texas A&M is to get him back to College Station and keep him from making the weekend visit to LSU.
Will his decision stick through week's end? Based off conversations with sources on a number of sides, and just a sense for how things play out for in-state targets that are priority guys for LSU, I would lean that he does end up visiting

LSU this weekend.

Mind you, it's the biggest official visit weekend of the summer for LSU with multiple 5-stars and a lot of the top remaining targets for the Tigers. It's also the Bayou Splash weekend on Saturday, which will bring tons of unofficial visitors to campus.

And some notable ones, at that (I'll have more on that on Monday).

Let's see how the week plays out. If he doesn't visit LSU and cancels it complete to go back to College Station, then it's telling. But knowing how recruiting is, I am going to wait and see how the week unfolds as LSU and Texas A&M staffs both have talks with Lamar and his camp.
