TT is under more pressure. Their coaching staff has to deliver plus they have to elevate their program past TCU and SMU which are recent playoff teams. Texas, A&M, Oklahoma get first dibs on the best in Texas with LSU occasionally getting at least one to two studs out of Texas each cycle
For discussion's sake, its pretty easy to take what you said and swap out teams like I did below and describes Miami pretty well.
Their coaching staff has to deliver plus they have to elevate their program past Clemson and SMU which are recent playoff teams. Texas, OSU, UGA get first dibs on the best in Florida with LSU occasionally getting at least one to two studs out of Florida each cylce.
I'd agree with what @JHallCanes said in that TT being a year or two behind Miami in spending a ton in the NIl era is probably going to hurt them with the new laws supposedly coming very soon. But TT is building out the right way, by targeting the trenches with the 5* star recruits. They just need them to not bust as they won't be able to stack as much young talent to fight for playing time the way Miami has done.
