Haven't gotten a single holding call on defense since the FSU game.

FSU - 27 plays after the last hold call
GT - 61
SU - 93
UNC - 92
VT - 75
ND - 63
UVA - 65

A grand total of 476 plays and counting since we got a flag our way.

I mean how is that even possible?

(Duke had 1 hold called, Toledo had 3, Bethune had none)

Yeah I saw Chad specifically getting held all game. Can't believe we haven't got one the way our line been playing.

I saw holds on both sides not being called. Maybe they are trying to help the offense?

Yea I saw Mendenhall doing the motions pleading for a defensive holding call after a play. All I could say was, "you are right coach, y'all have been holding US all game". Because if anybody should've been pleading for calls, it was us!

For a second I thought that was Coach K on the UVa sidelines. Haven't seen a CFB coach lobby for calls that much before.

Coaches should be documenting every week and sending in to the conference office. At least it used to be that way.

Couldn't agree more. This was a big part of why this game was so close.

They rarely call holds or pass interference on either side. I remember in the FSU game on the last drive we started to hold after they had just held us on the drive going up 20 - 17. At least they're consistent I guess.

THANK YOU OP.

I hate whining about refs, but this has gotten absurd with the free reign opposing o-lines have been given against us. Benkert's first TD pass of the game should have been called back due to UVA #77 holding one of our d-linemen by the shoulder pad once the d-lineman was well past #77 (all from memory, hence the terrible description.)

Yes, you can argue holding on every play, but UVA was allowed to make some game changing plays due to lack of flagging some seriously egregious holding by their o-line. Seems like the refs have just decided not to even bother with it anymore.

For context, there was 129 plays in the Clemson/Citadel game today and there was two holding calls.

I'm not one to **** on refs, but it seems as if there is an active direct to give offensive lines against us a TON of wiggle room because I can't imagine theres another team in college football that has nearly 500 straight defensive plays without getting a hold.

I think its great the refs have been swallowing the whistle this season. We are 10-0 so it has helped us more than the other teams.

it really is unbelievable.. I was yelling at my TV all game

Richt should call out the refs hard in his press conf.. it’s getting absolutely ridiculous

It’s to the point if ridiculous now. You know the other teams know it as well. Might as well keep doing it until someone calls it. I’m sure the staff has brought it up to the league office...or at least they should have.

Our offensive line gets away with holds as well. As long as they aren't calling them on us than I like my chances with our Dline still making plays, which they do.

I have no problems letting the players play, but I mean 6 1/2 games without a single holding call against the best front 7 in the country? Just seems suspect.

Had was held on 2 of the 3 too out TDs. That’s the only way that play got off.

It's completely embarrassing at this point. Another complete abortion by the referees today. I'm not suggesting that they are the reason why we didn't play our best today but, at some point, is it going to be possible for ONE referee to see MULTIPLE guys getting held on every play? I mean at what point does the conference take pride in their referees?

Oh, and LOL at that d'bag Benkert begging for a PI call in the 4th qtr after his OL were holding our guys the entire day. Sure kid, you're going to get that call.
