Lack of explosive plays

which speaks to how tough we were, we wanted the game in a phone booth
People can say we lack explosiveness but when we played the 2 most explosive/efficient offenses in the country in ole miss and Indiana Miami had more explosive plays in both games that featured a heisman winner and Trinidad chambliss in his offensive group which was pretty telling . I’m sure we had more 10- 20 yard plus plays than either of those teams in the games

Pretty clear Carson’s arm wasn’t what it was and he didn’t see it well. And yeah arroyo. I’m not as mad at the play calling as I am at personnel. Why Bauman was always in the slot is crazy to me
Should have used a 4th receiver in the championship game, Bauman wasn’t a threat. My only gripe about the play calling. Plus that creativeness with fletcher td at the goal line we should have done that early in the game . It completely had Indiana fooled as they all were going after Toney

It wasn’t natural for Beck to do that extending plays but he worked at it a little bit. The play to Marion vs ole miss and even the Daniels throw in the championship game was plays Beck didn’t have in his bag previously
He got better to his credit at extending plays with pocket movement or taking off with his legs.

It’s seemed this year explosive plays were much harder to come by
I just knew every third and long was a fail
But the year before with cam I never worried
Could be 3rd and 20 and I felt we would pick it up
do you think it was a qb thing or a wr thing
For example if you put cam with this years wrs do you think it would have been as explosive as the year before
cuz it’s hard to believe that George Horton x and brown were that much different than Marion Daniels and Toney or were they really that much better
Primarily on Beck but our WR's weren't great this year. Both will be considerably better in 2026.
