It’s seemed this year explosive plays were much harder to come by
I just knew every third and long was a fail
But the year before with cam I never worried
Could be 3rd and 20 and I felt we would pick it up
do you think it was a qb thing or a wr thing
For example if you put cam with this years wrs do you think it would have been as explosive as the year before
cuz it’s hard to believe that George Horton x and brown were that much different than Marion Daniels and Toney or were they really that much better

Ice Cube Yes GIF

Receiver group from last year just knew how to get open. George has done that from the get go at Miami, restrepo too plus like macho said arroyo and also cam would hold the ball longer to try and make things Happen verses Beck who would get the ball out quick but sometimes things miss things that were open all because the route progression wasn’t fully developed

Our explosive plays were big runs.

Oh lord not this crap again guys. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see this year's offense was a complete change from last year. I remember Last year fans crying saying our offense wanst explosive enough and that we lacked play makers. Yet we was #1 in the country on offense and tds scored smh. This years team didn't lack play makers or spead at the position. Only thing changed was the play calling and the qb. Last year we had to score points to win in shoot outs Mario perfers this offense we ran this year. He wants to wear you down and win with a strong defense.

Major difference- Cam was patient with the ball, didnt get nervous, was comfortable extended plays……Beck, you can see gets anxiety the longer he holds the ball, and this is not natural to him.

Cam would start moonwalking back there, rolling left or right, giving WR plenty of time to shake a DB

Can you find anyone who made the statement that last year’s offense wasn’t explosive? Bring the receipts so I can kick their ***.

if we get mensah he’d be a better drop ball thrower than Beck or cam. Cam wasn’t that good throwing the deep ball in 2024 either
True. Cam also was not exactly elite at it either. His stats were actually pretty bad. But man that guy could rip anything he wanted around 20-25 yards
Alot of ppl, including myself forget sometimes how Cam struggled with throwing simple bombs. He had the arm but was off the mark quite a bit. I didn’t watch alot of Mensah this season but I did the year before and he was who I wanted before he went to Duke.

Yep I agree. People forget cam didn’t throw the deep ball great in 2024 either. But yeah Mensah is an excellent deep ball thrower

It wasn’t natural for Beck to do that extending plays but he worked at it a little bit. The play to Marion vs ole miss and even the Daniels throw in the championship game was plays Beck didn’t have in his bag previously
