The fact Manny Diaz has decided not to make any changes on the defense side of the ball or on Special Teams tells me much of what I need to know about him as a HC.

Also, our defense looked bad many times this year including in two of our losses against UNC on 4th and 17 and Vatech game. Baker needs canned also, but Diaz won't do it.

Rumph, Banda, Stroud, Baker, Patke are not dynamic recruiters nor are they great coaches from a technical perspective either. Just look at the respective positions they coach and where have we improved besides Rousseau looking like an All American?! This staff on BOTH sides of the ball is amateur.

Manny also refuses along with Blake James to bring on a GM Exec type to improve football operations at all levels. His job is more important than doing what is right for the program.

This guy is on his way to being fired in 2020 even with Lashlee being the new OC.

The culture of the football program is messed up badly and Diaz is part of that since he has been here since 2016.

He is not U of Miami or HC material.

We can only hope a new AD and leadership in the athletic dept next year will help change things for the better.

Don't forget that we had lead late in 4th against UF and D gave up score too. If D makes stop we win.

The Offense was other wordly bad.

The defense was okay.

It will flip flop next year like it has for 20 years. One side of the ball is good enough to win while the other isn't. That's our MO now...oh yeah and throw in special teams with it now lol

How many times is the same subject/topic going to be brought up. No changes to Def staff was all but a given. Diaz will succeed or fail with that choice.

The defense will look worse next year also with the “going to a spread offense syndrome”

Just kidding. I think we will be better on defense because we will not be going 3 and out every time. Our defense was ok against La tech but I’m sorry if your offense is keeping the defense on the field the whole game they will eventually score

Any changes on the trinket side of the ball? I want to know, what is the next turnover trinket? O and D just don't matter now. I want to know how many KGs the new chain weighs.

Thanks for letting us know what you think. Really groundbreaking stuff. Especially the parts about 4th and 17, Patke, Banda...all that stuff. I was totally unaware of any of that. My mind is totally blown by this new point of view you've presented. You've added an element to the conversation that was sorely lacking. Hats off to you sir.

Sadly agree.

Those rooms have to feel stale at this point like 3 week old sour cream.

It would be better at some of those spots to get a fresh voice and a new.

I get that manny is an analytics guy and while the stats say we were a “top-ish” defense. We also played GaTech, uva, Duke, la Tech, central much, Pitts.. that’s that aren’t setting the world on fire.

Every team we played with a decent offense torched us.

But honestly I can kinda give the D staff one more year even though the recruiting is bad.

The big problem is no offensive position coaches being let go. Especially barry... that is alarming.
