Race thread? This should be a good one...

Place your bets now, Over/Under 10 pages before the lock?

I'm taking the over.

Me too lol.. just seen the coach from Maryland talking about it that's all..
Gotcha. Old topic. I say let it play out. Sometimes you make people want to give you try. It was never handed to me and I had to be exceptional in everything just to be considered. But when you get that chance.....make them feel you!

Not sure what you mean when asking who do we think would've won as a college head coach? If we're talking NFL guys that had that job then I think Tony Dungy and Mike Tomlin could've been very successful college head coaches. Tomlin especially.

So what's the difference between nfl and college. Is it mandatory in the NFL Or some quota or something?? Lol

I think this is a good question. Its a topic they talk about on espn a lot. My coach would have been Charlie Strong but something happened when he went to TEXAS. They got him out of there quick

So there are 13 out of 130 black head coaches, 10% in Div 1. African American population is +/- 13%. So we need a whopping 4 additional black head coaches. Perhaps other minorities have a bigger gripe.
I’m pretty sure this doesn’t need to be pointed out, but - Most (nearly all) football coaches are former football players. I’m also pretty sure we can agree that African American males make up much more than 13% of the football playing population, and therefore, using your own simple population based metric, should make up well over 10% of head coaches.
