This is great news because it will allow the players to maximize the benefits from the new training table and unlimited meals ( also new NCAA rule).

UM stepping up, giving Richt everything he wanted; Dolphins, Heat, Marlins nuggets | Sports Buzz

Richt received the go-ahead to hire a football-only nutritionist, former UM baseball player Kyle Bellamy (he was a All American & MLB Player).

He recently took the offensive linemen to Trader Joe’s “and will tell you, ‘Get this and get that,’” offensive lineman Sunny Odogwu said. “That never happened before. [Bellamy] is amazing. This will pay off in the long run.”

Richt also got the green light to expand the breakfast and lunch options, putting UM on par with FSU’s diet-conscious approach under Jimbo Fisher. Odogwu said players are now greeted with healthy shakes, and more, after practice.

“We needed a nutritionist really bad and we got that,” McDermott said. “The quality of food we're eating is much better. It has taken care of our bodies. Pretty much anything we've ever thought of, coach Richt, he does everything. He donated $1 million of his own money to the indoor facility! He really cares about us.”

Bellamy will be doing the same things as this woman does for NC State.( this is just for reference, good to see the kids getting the additional guidance)

This is great news. Paranos, does the healthy eating extend to the barbecues the team has been having, or are they allowed cheat days?

What even is the NCAA limit on number of assistant coaches? Not sure I want to use up one of the precious allowed spots just to have a coach who instructs players on eating habits. Honestly this sounds like a job that one of the other assistants or even head coach Richt could do themselves. What can't the new strength and conditioning coach double up doing this?

Bellamy is doubling up as Special Teams Coach/Nutritionist so nothing to worry about. Most teams are using one of the precious 10 coaching spots on a nutritionist, but Richt was smart enough to hire a former athlete who can coach STs.

Ok. Didn't realize he also coached special teams- still haven't memorized the whole new staff.

That prime rib looked **** good in Big Hertalou's video. Only place similar is Golden Corral, but my wife prefers the restaurants at Intl and Westshore Malls. Shout out to Green Martini Bar.
