Kliff To USC

I have officially turned on Corch Mork Reckt. This guy completely mismanged the QB situation, is running an antiquated offensive system, and is getting his butt handed to him in recruting to the point his nephew will not even committ to him! Meanwhile WILLIE who didnt even qualify for a bowl is out recruting him by almost 20 spots. Disgusting. Old man should retire.

Yep, Helton fired everyone and hired a great OC. Gave himself a stay of execution for a couple more years - Kliff is a 2 year rental (at most). Maybe he'll be in line for the next SC gig or off to the pros after his USC stint.
 
Feldman tweeted that it wasn’t a done deal. The tweet was liked by Todd Hartley.

Simple explanation for why the complaints sound the same:
Its the same people complaining on every school's message boards.

I personally have 128 accounts where I complain about 128 schools' issues:
Bama: "Why isn't Forest Gump honored in Bryant-Denny stadium?! He is our greatest living alumnus! Fire Saban!"
Notre Dame: "Touchdown Jesus?! What has he scored for us?! Fire Kelly!!!"
Stanford: "David Shaw? More like David Shawshank. This program has been tunneling through **** for years with him at the helm. Bring Back Baugh!!!"
Houston: "Major Applesauce wouldn't let Oliver wear a jacket?!?! Ed should get to wear anything he wants! Especially the defensive coordinator's headset! Fire Major Pain and promote Briles!!!"
UNLV: "More like Nevada LOSS Vegas. Fire .... whoever our coach is! Jay Gruden is on his way! The players have been informed!"

Clay Helton is definitely a bum but you know what? I'd rather have a coach who realizes he's a bum and will make any change necessary to get better than a mediocre coach whose in denial and thinks everything is peachy

I'd actually say Lynn Swann and/or the boosters & administrators are trying and Helton is just glad to still be employed. Everything doesn't have to be viewed as a comparison to Rick.....but I too would feel better if I saw some similar "trying" on this front here.

Fair but that also assumes Helton was the one making any changes and not just saying "Thank you for not firing me. Whatever you want to do is fine by me."

I know it seems irrelevant as the changes are being made disirregardless but it always ends up relevant in the long run. The head guy needs to fully accept and realize and embrace WHY the changes are needed or he ends up still being a detriment sooner rather than later.

Since our fall off in 2004, USC has won 10+ games 7x, won their conference 7x, played in 5 NY6 bowl games going 4-1 in them, and won 2 national championships. Lol. I wouldn't exactly say they've been stuck in mediocrity. Just the past 10 years alone, they've avg. 10 w's/yr (that's including this 5-7 season and Kiffin's 7-6 season in 2012).

It's not up to USC's standards, of course, but they've been in much better shape than us and we've had a much easier schedule over the course of the same time frame.
