I'm not arguing for or against Kingsbury but failing as a head coach doesn't necessarily make him a bad coordinator. The fired head coach graveyard is littered with the bodies of good coordinators.

I agree he would be a solid OC but some program is going to give him a HC job.

Good post.
A coach such as Dan Henning was OC for coaches like Shula, Gibbs and Bobby Ross, so he was highly-regarded by his peers. Yet he failed miserably at the college and pro level.

Not just return, but with a demotion from HC to OC to boot. I don’t see it happening—especially here. Spencer Whipple would be much more realistic.
