Klatt thinks ND may be screwed

"we think ND is the better team... we won't use any stats from the last month or the head to head when Miami beat them.. but the committee thinks ND is the better team because they've been playing consistent football for 10 weeks"...
They moved Bama up a spot above and after a late fourth qt td to beat a non bowl eligible Auburn with a fired head coach

ND won by 3 scores on the road at 1030 PM to a ****** Stanford. I’m not sure how the Auburn win is enough to jump bama over ND.

What am I sure is they moved them to protect bama making the playoff if byu wins.

Now we enter a scenario where 10 could be ND and Miami 11. Next to each other. Now you have to ignore head to head (the second most important data point) because the have the sec **** so far down their throats they can’t see the difference between a win and a loss

what media members, besides Galloway or anybody from NBC, thinks ND should be ranked ahead of us at this point?

it seems like every single CFB media personality who has shared an opinion, thinks Miami should be ahead...

Now that Bama is safely at #9, Mario needs to call Saban and get him to campaign a little bit for him too... Saban has no reason to support ND...

They haven’t moved us ahead of them and the games are over for both of us. No way them penalize ND now
Because they’ve been kicking the can down the road hoping we’d pull a Miami . They also said we needed to win impressively which we have . Nobody including Miami fans expected that to happen . So now they’re painted in a corner and need BYU to win to make this easy for them. If not the thing they feared most will be staring them in the face. A Duke win would even make things worse for them .

This.

With the true agenda being the smoke & mirrors /sleight of hand getting 5 Sec teams in the top 9 accomplished now.. so IF Tech beats BYU soundly then personally I could see the committee finally swapping Miami for Notre Dame @ 10 spot and going “See! We are logical and fair.”

When in reality this is just the SEC invitational. Of which-whether Miami is in or not I will be rooting for any team not in the SEC. Enough is enough and it would be incredible if they didn’t have a single team in the final 4 semis being how much they loaded the deck with a Lane-less Ole Miss, OU, A&M, and Bama. Aka a bunch of above average teams with a ton of flaws. This **** is absolutely criminal.

TomAce, probably.

This is an easy decision--made complicated by mix of internal biases and the almighty dollar.

The choice: either
1.) honor uniformly fair, merit-based competition; or,
2.) upend 154 years of college football precedent and historically thousands of years of what civilizations have historically recognized as the foundational principle of sport: that competition is settled on the field of play.

They have already said they think ND is better. If Bama wins they will move up and the committee will likely just have ND move to 9 and drop OU to 10 to keep the buffer. They don’t care about how; they just want the outcome. It’s not happening
