Kirkland recruitment last year

The Kirkland situation last year was a disaster. I hope the staff has learned from it.

They misevaluated Kirkland when most amateurs on here could tell you he was a monster. Because they weren't high on him, they forced him to commit on the spot rather than NSD.

Ice Harris, correctly, stood up for his player and said "Why are you giving my All-American an ultimatum when you are waiting for eight other kids on NSD?" The saddest thing is that Kirkland would have been a Cane.

That poor decision by the staff damaged our relationship with the best local program and cost us a freshman All-American player.

Why? What was the angle on forcing his hand. It doesn't make sense.

Man **** ice harris **** randyshannon **** kirkland ..... They are not with us they are against us !!!!!! Move on!!!!

All sides almost certainly could've handled the situation better than they did, but Ice Harris went public with bashing the program instead of going to the staff for answers. Genron does the same. But those two guys get defended here? Why?

Ice Harris defended his own program. A team that happens to be the best high school team in America. I want winners like that in Coral Gables.

Do they have a message board?

Who is genron? whats the age group on this board !!! I been following recuruting since the 90's i have never seen so many cane fans defending bashers and kids that dont commit!!!! **** em!!!!

And the kool aid guy tells me to stfu .... Why does anyone give 2 f uks about kirkland right now he chose to go against us peace adios simple as that when did this fanbase become so soft and side with kids who dont come here and coaches who steer kids away i dont get it???

****, another JerseyCane? These ****os are like gremlins.

Negged JerseyCane.

Yall guys really think ice harris is with these guys all day every day trying to tell them not to go to miami? I know a couple of guys who played for iceand they have said ice gives advice if you need or want it but lets the recruits and their parents handle deciding the school.

anyone not thinking the kirkland episode wasn't a cluster**** handling, regardless of if coming or not, really needs to look in that mirror and try and convince themselves in what way was it good or the right thing to do then?

the question is.. what can schools do collectively to end this trolling bs by recruits?

Nothing... It's a part of the game... If a coach can leave at any moment so can a player and vis versa... Look at what happened at UT, UL, Vandy and even here... If the coaches can do it, then the players can as well...
