If you want to see what coaching looks like you saw it tonight in the rose bowl. Our offensive play calling was complete *** in the first half. No idea wtf we were thinking. 182 yards rushing on only 11 carries and we make our true freshmen throw 17 passes when he rarely throws 17 times in an entire game................AND we certainly were never forced to throw because our run got stopped. The ONLY time Uga got stopped was when we called cute passing plays. To top that off we did the exact opposite defensively of what got us to this game. We played soft zone and put no pressure on Mayfield, the only guaranteed passer in college football that will burn you if you give him time and play zone.

BUT

Watch what Kirby did right before half time. He used his time outs to slow Oklahoma down. Give the defense a big breather, and get under their teams skin. Granted their trick play still got in.........but kirby was involved and understood that he could do something/anything to disrupt the other team. It almost worked. Go look at what Richt did with his time outs right before half. Not a **** thing. He had horrible clock management at UGA. Once inside the 30 wisconsin was not concerned one bit about the clock so why in the world does Richt not use those timeouts? He wasnt gonna need them with wisconsin beyond the 20 and still in possession. I will tell ya why. It never came to him.

This was one of the first times as a Dawg fan I went into a half time down big still feeling like our coach would get it figured out. Richt would coach us out of leads all the time after half time. Not to mention his last minute losses were massive compared to his last minute wins.

I was thrilled to see Richt going for it this year at the end of games, something he rarely did at Uga. So its not all bad. But man those last 3 games I swear you could have put a big ole G on the side of those helmets and I never would have known the difference. Here is wishing you guys better luck with him than he brought us. Its one excuse after another with why he couldnt win the big one........Kirby hasnt blamed anyone but himself.

Band please

Them ga and Gaytor trolls are coming out of the woodwork

Im just curious why anyone expects Richt to do better here than he did at UGA?

Or are people satisfied with what UGA was? I sure aint....

Kirby's lucky the SEC East is depleted as fvck right now and that Bama lost to Auburn. This was his first quality win this season, against a team without a defense. Congratulations, get the fvck off our board.

I saw nothing coaching wise. All I saw was the 81st ranked defense play like the 81st ranked defense.

Lets be honest, If Oklahoma had an average defense, just average, Oklahoma wins by 2 TDs. Georgia's defense got bend over backwards and was out coached when Oklahoma's offense was on the field most of the game. Georgia's offense didn't out coach anything either UGA's players just manhandled Oklahoma's front all game.

UGA coaching staff deserves full credit for that win. They adjusted at half and Sooners didn't which was the difference. Just as important UGA came out energized and fired up to start the second half. The key of the entire game was the botched squib kick before half sending OU to half up two scores instead of three scores getting the ball at half. Lincoln Riley's interview at half said it all in his non chalant, "no big deal" approach to that squib disaster which ended up being the difference point wise of the game. The Sooners played like that to open the half and got mauled.

Also, can we get rid of the term "SEC defense"? They gave up over 500 yards

So Kirby finally realized that you guys could actually run the ball and decided to finally do so in the 2nd half? Excellent coaching job....

Lol at comparing Georgia under Richt to Miami right now. Different situations.

Clearly Richt is still on your mind, not sure why. If my team was going to the NC, I certainly wouldn't come onto another team's board to post about my former coach. But to each their own I guess

I been saying this all over the board. Don't understand how a timeout was never called during a 6+ minute drive with our players gasping for air. I was yelling at the TV for a timeout. Wisconsin finally ended up scoring and I wanted to throw my phone at the wall.

Scott frost was in a similar situation today at the end of the game and used his timeout. Next play or two UCF got an interception and sealed the deal.

I'm grateful to richt for turning the program around and having up top 5 innrecruting. But I'm starting to see why UGA fans were frustrated with him.

Having said all that to go 10-3 make a NY6 bowl game and the conference game is a big step with goldens recruits. Not a good look for richt though that Kirby is going to the national championship.

Don’t see the brilliance in giving the ball to Chubb and Michel. Richt did a few things I didn’t Like this year but the talent and depth depth just wasn’t there.
