And anyone who wants a return to that model is someone who doesn’t value the long term viability of the sport. Because it doesn’t exists outside of a regional model if only three to five teams are allowed to pay players and everyone else is throttled. It would be about as fascinating as the NFL would be if three teams had no salary cap.
