That’s just the very first deal tho just give it time...his NFTs alone will be a lot more than that

the point is the $20k doesn't even get us on par with bag schools. Bag schools are already outspending that in spades. Granted, it's mostly on recruits but you get the idea. They have millions at their disposal. $20k is a drip in the bucket to them. Give them time, they'll catch up and lap us eventually.

Beginning of the END of college football as we know it! This makes it Legal for huge boosters to pass out money to high profile players. Colleges will have to have there own marketing agents to help the less known players , just don't see this ending well for College sports.
Meh, it’s already been heading out the door.

No doubt. But this is just the starting point. Deals will continue to increase and increase.

$20k from a moving company. Up next? Popeyes dropping $250k. After that? Red Bull dropping $1m. So on and so on.

What happens mid season if King is making Heisman run too? Clothing sales go up and up.

So, Make money and live and play in Miami or Make money and live and play in OSU/ALB/FSU/GaTors... Hmmmmmm

“Like we told our guys, they don’t put professional franchises in small towns,” Diaz said. “If you want to maximize your brand, you generally want to go where the people are. That can be a great advantage for our guys. I’m excited for our guys. This is one of the great advantages we can use with our community, our city.

This NIL is going to help us.

@TheOriginalCane What tax bracket will they be in? It's understood they don't make much money, but is their tax bracket affected by playing for a college that cost a million dollars to attend?
This is why posters on here saying "But Bag schools are just going to hand out money is false" You bet the IRS is going to have to get involved now with all this money flowing so mom and pop won't be able to hide the money that easy and will slip up eventually.

Plus where are you going to get more exposure to the market? Tuscaloosa, Athens, Gainesville, Trailerhassee or MIAMI.

I'm not really convinced that location will play a significant role here. IMO, it's about national exposure not local. I get the narrative that Miami is a bigger city than Tuscaloosa therefore Miami is more attractive but idk.

I think the easiest way to go about this is 1) which program has most social media followers 2) which football players have the most social media followers. Money will flow to that more so than geographic location.

Its going to be crazy....
This is good for player’s like Deriq king , He is not going to be good player in the nfl but he can make good money before he even get drafted , imagine how much money Tim Tebow and guys like Johnny manziel would of made before they got to the nfl !

Where this might really help miami is with transfers.A bigtime player that already took his bag to go to a bag school now as a jr can portal to miami for his final season at a bigger market.

Wouldn't be surprised if in some of these agreements there were stipulations that required the player to stay at the program for x years. But generally I agree.
