OP, i will believe it when fsu cancels next yr due to covid
fwiw he didn’t rpo at Houston. He didn’t have spring ball and rpo here. He needs to be better at it to be attractive as an nfl quarterback. Another year would serve him well. I think he’s staying from everything I’m hearing inside. Phillips gone.
0 chance he’s a 1st rd draft pick. You seriously think if he wins the Heisman he won't be a first round pick? OK chief.
Where did you read that Phillips had a knee injury? It’s been a wrist, ankle and concussions. Please post it.If Phillips finishes strong, he might have played himself into a day 1 pick. If Miami gets two DE's going in the first, it has to be great for recruiting. For a guy like Phillips who already had a bad knee injury, I can't blame him for not wanting to take any chances and leaving when his stock is high.

Confused by this...are you saying he didn't execute RPOs at Houston? If so then that's a blatant lie as I saw plenty on the film I watched, and his patience and timing on them was impeccable.fwiw he didn’t rpo at Houston. He didn’t have spring ball and rpo here. Lashlee said King didn't do a lot of READ-OPTION before, which for the zillionth time is different from RPO.Confused by this...are you saying he didn't execute RPOs at Houston? If so then that's a blatant lie as I saw plenty on the film I watched, and his patience and timing on them was impeccable.
The keys for King's NFL projection are his pocket management/poise and pre-snap processing. He's made strides in those areas. I know Matt Waldman has been a huge fan of his game since 2018 and believes he's a legit NFL prospect. I know Quincy Avery has been working with King and can assume he would advise him to declare if he has a strong draftable grade, same as Newman, Lance and eventually Fields have/will. If they don't like their intel King can return with the belief that he'll continue improving and get the opportunity he deserves.

Wasn't he a top 3 Heisman candidate before this season too? If that's the case, then being top 3 next year again isn't gonna help his draft status. If staying one more year is the difference between being a seventh round special being looked at as a gadget plays RB/WR and being a day 1 pick, I think it's the smart business move. King would almost certainly have top 3 odds to win the Heisman. If he does win it, he would answer a whole lot of questions about his QB skills and would be a top draft pick. So from 7th round to 1st- that's about 15 million reasons to come back.
