Thats the Miami way.......He's going to make the dumb decision to go. He'll be drafted in the 7th round at best & then that'll be that.

Legit question - why is that dumb? I want him to stay, but what is he going to gain by staying another year other than delaying whatever money he will get from the NFL?He's going to make the dumb decision to go. He'll be drafted in the 7th round at best & then that'll be that.
There's way too many QBs in this class that will be drafted ahead of him. Probably a 2nd day pick but could drop even more.Legit question - why is that dumb? I want him to stay, but what is he going to gain by staying another year other than delaying whatever money he will get from the NFL?
I get it with a lot of underclassmen that leave early when it is apparent they could use more time to learn and in some cases continue to improve their body or they were never going to make the NFL so why not get a degree, but do we think that King is going to become a better QB prospect with another year in college after already being out of high school for 5 years? Maybe marginally? Would it be enough to do any significant movement in where he is drafted that it would be worth delaying things for a year?
I do think the one thing that could perhaps come into play is the ability for players start making money off their likeness come Jan, but I don't know if anyone has a good feel for what that would mean financially for someone like King.
I know this is all subjective, but thinking he is even a 2nd day pick right now, I believe, is very generous (maybe you meant later rounds and forgot like I often do that they added a 3 day to the draft?).There's way too many QBs in this class that will be drafted ahead of him. If he comes back he will be a Heisman favorite in the second year under Lashleee on a team that could be a top 5 contender.
If he plays as well as many of us think he can within the system he could be a 1st Round pick next year .
I’ve been saying he’s coming back for months..he’d be crazy to leave to become a 6th rd pick or an UFA ..
A full year with Lashlee and getting the wrinkles ironed out could actually lead to a huge season. Right now there are serious questions about his shortcomings. Another year could see more than just marginal improvements.Legit question - why is that dumb? I’ve been saying it ever since it came out about this year not counting...been lit up by guys saying he’s comparable to Murray and that Brees and Wilson are short so he fits their mold.agreed. He would make a roster though simply to be on a practice squad for teams who gave kyler Murray.
he could also see the oppurtunity to play Bama game 1 next year and make a run at an ACC championship depending on what other played decide to come back. Would be nice to see most guys come back that can
The x o's guru right now is Lincoln riley he's breeding Quarterbacks in Oklahoma and now their defense is coming alive.. I really like what he's doing breaking in a freshman quarterback.. Miami we need to add to our offensive staff soonEveryone keeps looking for the X’s and O’s guru that is supposed to save this program and thrust it back into its past glory.
We have to recruit complete players. And by complete I mean young men that not only have the talent but the desire to be great and not mediocre.
Leaving without a degree and rolling the dice to maybe go in the 5th round is basking in the pool of mediocrity imo and not considering the impact it has in the team.
If Miami continues to poorly evaluate players that don’t have the proper mindset to commit to greatness for themselves and the program we will continue to have mass early exits and not be able to compete with the upper echelons of cfb.
I listened to Devonta Smith post game talking about why he came back and he stated he wanted to get better. This is a kid that caught the game winner against uga and has been one of the best receivers in cfb. Now he’s likely to break a bunch of sec receiving records and wil likely be a first round pick.
Imo Manny failed his first test Rousseau. Now let’s see what will happen after this year.
If history repeats itself bolden, Phillips, Roche, Brevin, Blades, Cam, will bounce.
For the past 18 years we’ve had players with lesser talent than the dudes I just stated leave too early and not only hurt their future but also the team.
there are 8 other QBs that will probably declare that will get picked ahead of him........Has only played one good team this year and not just he but the whole team shlt the bed.......probably get drafted 7th round. He will have a second season in this offense and will hopefully have better/improved WRs and OLs.Legit question - why is that dumb?
