How about he believed his team would make the play? They held NC State to a 3 and out in the prior drive. They proceeded to make NC State punt on the next drive and get the big INT to close out the game.

King is unquestionably the reason this team is 6-1. But it’s a pretty stupid argument to say he saved Manny. It’s not like he just showed up and said I’m playing. I respect your opinion but I disagree. That decision went against the laws of probability. No way you take the ball out of Kings hands for a field goal that still leaves you in need of a TD, particularly with the way the defense was playing. Good thing it worked out.
