Kiffin is a cancer in south Florida

Miami is going to participate in an adidas camp up there too. Who knows with Lane. I'm not worried.

SALUTE THE HOOT

I'm not even worried in the least bit. He's trying to bring attention to his program by bringing in big names coaches but he's only bringing in coaches to steal his own players. This doesn't hurt Miami one bit. Our Paradise Camp is the best there is and no amount of "satellite camps" can change that. I don't care if they bring back Bear Bryant himself.

I'm not concerned, but I think you misread the situation. Kiffin won't lose any players to these school because he's not in the running for anyone they want. These will be the kind of kids we want, so there's potential for this to be a negative for us. This brings attention to his school, and exposes kids who won't get Michigan offers to him and his program. It's good for everybody but Miami. As I said, I'm not worried, but it's certainly not a positive for us.

It's also not a negative for us. We can't take everybody. At the end of the day, if someone wants to go to Michigan they will go. I don't want to "sneak" players into Miami while Michigan or anyone else isn't looking. I want players to see"all" of their options and still choose us. You have to get out of that frame of thinking. We can compete with anybody. We have a head coach that can compete with anybody. We have a city that can compete with anybody. We have a campus that can compete with anybody. We have a legacy and history that I would put up against anyone. We have a brand thats recognized nationwide if not worldwide. And that's after 10 years of being down by probation, loss of players and bad coaching. So let them bring on their satellite camps!

This is exactly right.

There's no upside here for Miami, only downside.

Anybody that doesn't think schools like Michigan or Tennessee having greater and prolonged access to our recruits is a negative is just plain dumb. All kinds of shīt can happen while those schools are down here. I'm not saying it's the end of the world or anything, but it's a net negative for us. This is exactly how you can get one or two recruits poached away from you, especially from schools like this that have a lot to offer resource wise.

I'm not worried due to that we have a legit coaching staff.

this isnt NEW...and Michigan has been down here for like 2-3 years holding camps etc... They really dont NEED fau to this as they have Devin Bush on staff to identify south florida players for them. Who really cares though...Michigan delivered Herbert to us in last recruiting cycle

Michigan is bringing their entire staph. I'm sure they will be visiting our recruits.
And, for next Spring Football, they'll still have to fly to Hawaii just to escape their own misery.

Exactly. This is a loser move by Monte's son but Rick knew exactly how to counter all this noise from a marketing standpoint the moment he arrived here. That's why he started labeling everything as "paradise". I'm sure he'll eventually start dropping some shade about all these coaches having to come TO "paradise" for sham events. Nonetheless, FAU's AD should be ashamed of himself for even letting Monte's son use their program for an event only designed to boost the reputation of Monte's son and will have zero benefit for FAU. Hoot hoot!

I'm not underselling the team, staff, or city, and I'm fully aware of the draw of the U. But you take every single advantage you can, no matter how small. And not having those schools down here would be a small advantage, and as such I'd rather have it than not. The whole point of this circus Kiffin is putting on is to give those schools the slightest little advantage, to allow them to see and be seen by some kids they wouldn't normally have close access to.

I understand your point but what I'm trying to get you to see is kids can go on their computer and see everything Michigan and all these schools have to offer. Kids can put together a highlight video and send to every coach in America. Michigan and these other schools have all the money in the world to get coaches down to high-schools in South Florida any time they legally can. It's not like back in the 80's and 90s. I just don't see an advantage but I'll agree to disagree and leave it there. I do understand what your trying to say though.
