Kicking the FG from 54 yards

I thought we should have went for it, but I would have been ok with punting. Not going to lie, I was nervous before the snap. Thought for sure they were going to block it, and they did. Just got lucky the ball didn't get blocked backwards giving them a chance to return it.

What the **** are you talking about? It’s a 13 point game with the clock on your side. Punt it deep, make them go the distance. Instead it gets blocked and it looked like Wake was about to cut it to 6. It was a dumb decision.

The correct decision was to go for it. A made FG and it’s still a two score game. A punt could easily sail into the endzone from that short distance. The way Wake was moving the ball, turning it over at the 37 versus giving it to them at the 10 - if we would be lucky enough to pin them at the 10 - was a play or two against our porous defense.
 
Yeah, it was 4th and 4, our FG kicker is not automatic. I hate punting there.

You go for it.

There was a play where we accepted a holding penalty with would've made it 4th and 7, and ended up with a 4th and 3 instead.

THAT one ****ed me off.
 
We know Mario will also have one or two brain dead decisions per game. This was one of them. The other was not going for a TD at the end of the first half.

Difference between 2 TDs beating you and 2 TDs AND 2 2 Point Conversions merely TYING YOU. If you have that kind of faith in your kicker, you take the chance.
 
I’m 95% that kick was gonna be good if the blocking was better. I think the snap sucked too. I trust our kicker.

That sometimes isn't when you're hanging on to a lead and your team is getting injured every other play. Punt that thing and pin them deep. Make it it's a two possession game. Miss it and it's a two possession game.

Does anyone here think we were going to make it? I sure didn't.

It’s still a 2 score game, I wouldn’t have felt comfortable rolling out Borregales in that situation it’s a 55 yard kick!

Get 5 yards and their chances of winning drop dramatically
