Kick/Punt Return

Every year someone starts this thread and lists the incoming freshman with solid 40 times and declares it to be our best unit in years. Every year we are a below-average return unit.

My blind choice (blind because until someone shows production we are all guessing) would be DJ Dallas. He has shown the ability to produce at multiple other positions, he seems to hold onto the football, he has shown he has football vision, and he is a good enough athlete.

Whoever it is, we could really use some production out of this unit.

JT4 should get a crack at punt returns.

Cant write him off just because he (And his blocking) sucked on Kick returns. Completely different skill sets.

KRs are more about vision - finding the crease and hitting it 100mph.

Punt returns are about making people miss and giving your guys time to set up their blocks.

‘Craig” Cooper was a horrible punt returner.....but a **** solid option on kickoffs.

Everyone isn’t going to be Hester (great at both).

We've got so many good players who can excel there its almost embarrassing. But whoever is selected for the positions goes NO WHERE without good blocking.

We definitely need better blocking
