JHall is right **** is broken big time but if we the fans want an elite team u gotta land elite players. Dont say this now and then ***** n moan later and ask y we losing 5 games cuz it all starts with recruiting. Some fans can see the writing on the wall, we dont want a good team we want a fkin Miami team a beast a conqueror of men.
Hopefully this staff wins this year if not I feel bad when it turns Shannon on them, these fans wont wait.

Yes. First we thought it was unimaginable to lose Bostwick. Then we surpassed all levels of fail previously thought possible letting Morschamp take Moten from STA. Now we've gone full ludicrous spread and lost a 5star kid from Chaminade Madonna whose parents are season ticket holders at a position where we've taken 2 kids in 3 years. My daughter's yorkshire terrier could out-recruit this bull****.

I don't care what it is. There are 20,000 coaches who could do better at the University of Miami than land a grand total of Ivery and Moore in 3 years and then lose a 5 star season ticket holder from Chaminade.

Get real. We had trouble getting a coach since JJ. Butch was an assistant. Coaker, well he was Coaker, Randy got hired cause he worked cheap-- a ton of coaches turned down the job. Only Butch could recruit and he was much on coaching(not talking about development). I agree that the DT situation is unbearable, but at every other level, Golden is recruiting the crap out of this situation. I too prefer our old 4-3 but given the fact that we haven't had a decent DT in a decade, perhaps we should go to a 3 -4. We won our first title with a 5-2(not much different that 3-4). We are in the best shape at qb since Ken. We can talk D all day but we won all our titles because of having the right QB! Maybe it is not the coaching staff but rather the *** Extra Cash conference. Or in UF's case, Serial Extreme Crime school. This has been a great day. Enjoy it. By the way, can anyone tell me who played DT on the first Cane NC team?

Sure. Fred Robinson and Kevin ***an. Tony Fitzpatrick was the NG. We didn't have much behind them. Darin MacMurray, around 230 lbs, backed up Fitzpatrick. I can't remember who backed up Robinson or ***an. Maybe Willie Broughton? Jerome Brown?

I believe good coaching can create pretty good DTs. When the late Bob Karmelowicz was our DL coach, he told me he was looking for guys 6'1" to 6'3", 280 to 300. He didn't care about stars, he said he'd coach them up. If Clarke does not have a good work ethic maybe it's better we didn't get him.

I wish we had those standards today. 300LB DT's. 230+LBS. Someone said it all starts with recruiting. No it all starts with coaching, then wins, then recruits come.

Our defensive scheme sucks for DTs and we have no players there. DTs watch the highlights of our defensive line and think "these are the HIGHLIGHTS?!?!" These kids want to play in a scheme that allows them to pin their ears back and blow up the field. They don't understand that D'ono wants his DTs soaking up two or three blockers. They want to play in a scheme like our old 43 Cover-2, RS system where 3-tech DTs can rush the passer and the 1-tech/NT gets to push the pocket and create pressure/get sacks.

Our system is not exciting for DTs. It's just not. What we want at DT, these kids do not want to play. It is what it is..

unfortunately I've been saying the same **** thing. we're gonna have to win big or change it up. and we may have to change it up to win big

False stop crying. Big time DTs go play in Bama and UGA 3-4 defense all the time. It's about on the field production and wins.

Read the post above mine and see this kids quote about why he choose UF. it had nothing to do with scheme. Some of these kids are so impressionable to the point they will be believe anything. UF tradation of educating players and a better campus, it's such a dumb statement i can't even "lol" at it.

Perhaps he's means UiF have already lined up the people that will sit his exams for him, whereas at the U you're expected to do your own school work?
