Notre Dame will play 2 high safeties all game....limit Miami big play offense will play 2 deep zone all game .
- Miami should run 10 scripted plays to open game , no huddle up tempo game.
- Herndon and backs against Notre Dame linebackers
- Rosier continue to run the ball, safety help by Notre Dame minimal..worried about receivers
- Berrios in motion... key to Rosier if playing man or zone
- we should score more than 28 points in game.... again ND defense vanilla....will not give up big play

It'll be interesting to see if they play the CB's up on our guys or lay off. If they lay off we can bubble them to death until they change and then start taking shots. CMR always has a way to attack how they play us.

#12 running the way he did vs Tech will help a ton. They might have to try and spy him some.

I have a feeling that they are going to try and confuse Rosier by rushing 4 and dropping everyone else back in coverage, with a spy on him. If this happens, he is going to need to be patient and take whatever is there - forcing the ball in the middle of the field in that scenario is likely to be a disaster for us. Also, if they are going to play defense that way, we absolutely need Homer to have a good day. I think they are going to try to test our patience, take away the big plays, force us to sustain drives and execute in the red zone. That might be a good strategy for them...it's not something we see a lot of in the ACC.

Notre Dame defense is a lot worse than Virginia Tech who has an elite defense and we pretty much did whatever we wanted against them

If they drop 7 into coverage every play and we can’t run the ball, we deserve to lose. Need a rushing performance like the one we had against VT.

Two totally different schemes. VT scheme plays into our strengths IMO because we have the athletes who can win one on one and make big plays. Will be interesting to see if we can sustain drives against ND.

This we will bubble them to death until they man up and play real defense tgey key is to get 6 in the red zone

Wake’s QB beat them on a lot of QB draws. Running Rosier will really open up the game for Homer and dj.

It's time for our offense to win a game - if not for the fans, then for our defense who's helped them out all year long. This is the game to do it.

This. If they are dropping 7-8 often enough and we can't get anything going for Homer (or even a short passing game), it will be a long day for us.

If they are in 2 high safety most of the game, guys like Herndon and Berrios should be able to exploit the middle.

We have a multi-attack style offense because we also can win underneath with our backs over the middle with our TE and slots.. and also bubble them to death.. Mark Richt will preach all week to Malik take what is given pre-snap

This might not be a bad game to mix in being a little more deliberate at the LOS. Run up fast, get them to show their look on D, then back off.

Looks to me like part of Rick's master plan was to save as much wear and tear on Rosier as possible in the first 2/3 of the season by not running him all that much. Now, he has Rosier's legs to use much more against the two best teams we face.

Did we play anyone like that yet? Duke?

We used the bubble win needed see Ga tech last drive and against any soft coverage team last year ap state for example.. now the red zone problem we have to solve

This is the type of game Richards can feast on. Give him some space and he can take some sort of drag route to the house. Even if he is hobbling on one leg.

ND fans love pointing to the WF game. I watched the extended highlights of the game and WF defense looks SLOW. Huge gaps in their defense, not very aggressive at all and got gashed. They really lack speed on that team.

Syracuse also played off us a lot. We still hit em deep a couple times.

I think the deep balls will still be there. Just need route combos that take up the safety and leave #82 and #4 matched up with a DB.

The rush three and drop back 8 is the old Johnny Major defense that beat our great team in Sugar Bowl against TN and again the next year against psu. I think ND has been playing it since Phillip took the top off of them twice but dropped the passes. We should be able to run against it but if get in the red zone and have to punch it in, we will have problems. We might need to take a lot of 3s. That's fine as long as we don't throw picks.
