Kevin Olsen next year

If Winston is so good, was it said that last year he gave the Noles the best chance to win? Just wondering if their 2012 starter was their best chance to win in close scores against NC State and the Gators? ;-)

early reports on Winston were that he was a poor practice player, that's why half their fanbase thought Coker would be the starter. Winston hype didn't start until spring.
 
Golden rewards hard work the best he can. Golden does NOT like throwing pups into a dogfight, although he's had to the last couple years as pups were all he had.

Williams will be rewarded for his perseverance as well as his maturity. Olsen will have to be an absolute monster QB to push his way in front.

Much better that Olsen get a bit of time to hone his skills at the college level. Our first National Championship was won with a redshirt freshman quarterback, but those are as rare as blue doo doo.

I hope Williams can maintain a good conversion efficiency and run the table next year. But we all know that there are injuries, sickness, etc., so we know next year Olsen will get some play time. He just needs to be ready. And I think he will be.
 
Put me in the boat that thinks Olsen is the starter next year. We need Olsen to start. Why? Well we know what we got with Williams, a decent player, so if Olsen beats him out we will know we have the real deal.

People say this completely ignoring the fact that our offense has looked better with Williams in than Morris.

Does Williams have the arm Morris has, no, but neither does Olsen. All indication from the time Williams has played is that his arm strength is more than fine for the college level, our offense has run effectively with him at the helm, and he is a seasoned player that has come in on big time spots and performed extremely well.

I don't think Golden will risk the special type of year we can have next year breaking in a new QB.

Olsen will play the Ryan Williams role next year coming in on spot duty or in the event Williams goes down.
 
Ryan Williams is starting next year and then K. Olsen is going to have his hands full trying to beat out B. Kaaya after that.

Well you completely missed my point......
I know Williams is solid and yes the offense has looked better with him, albeit the competition was retarded weak so you cant really make a judgment call based on that. Anyway I digress, the point was that if Olsen wins the job next year, it truly means he is the real deal because Williams is nothing to scuff at.

When was this?

We scored on all the drives Morris was in against USF and SS. Not to mention, looking good against those two doesn't really tell you anything.

Unfortunately. Hopefully he has a Logan Thomas career after this year.
 
IMO if its close go with Olsen, i know a lot of people with give the slight edge to the older guy but IMO Olsen can have a really solid year with the talent and experience he'll have at receiver and running back. It will also set him up for a monster 2015 year
