Kevin Durant is responsible for the University of Miami's football recruiting woes?

Not really, HB 7029 pretty much eliminated school zones.

School choice is only available if you're at a failing school and want to transfer to a school that performs better on standardized tests. If your current school isn't failing, you can't transfer to another public school unless you can provide a home address in that school's district. My good friend is a high school administrator and he tells me it's pretty common. The offices in charge of confirming these kids' address changes are really lax and hardly pay any attention to it so it's very easy to submit the info and transfer.

Actually the fact is that Curt Flood CF for the St. Louis Cardinals was the first professional player to fight to become a Free Agent when he refused to be traded to the Philadelphia Phillies.

Curt Flood unsuccessfully challenged the reserve clause in court in 1970, but Marvin Miller helped overturn it five years later in the Seitz decision in 1975. Removing the reserve clause from player contracts became the primary goal of negotiations between the Major League Baseball Players Association and the owners.

In 1975, pitchers Dave McNally and Andy Messersmith played without contracts. The following winter, Seitz declared them to be free agents, effectively ending the reserve clause and bringing about the first free agent player draft on Nov 4, 1976.

Yes but lebron went to a unproven team while Durant went to a proven team.

There have been a lot of failed “big 3s” since lebrons choice because they went the unproven route.

Is it a ***** move either way ? Yes lol. I can’t stand the nba now it’s a joke all of them are soft and butt buddies off the court

Not everyone can be Sir Airness...

He didn’t blame KD for Miamis woes. He used it as an example of people wanting to go play for the best team. That people want to play with and for winners.

"Look, the world has changed, and I'm going to blame the NBA," Diaz said. "Once Kevin Durant went to the Warriors after they were 3-1 up when he was at Oklahoma City — kids want to go where the winning is."

Sorry but it's ALWAYS been this way.

Kids have always preferred going with a winner....it didn't start with Durant.

I think/hope he was just joking
