Keontra Smith only out a month, knee sprain (per Athletic)

These knee sprains always confuse me. Anyone with some medical knowledge know the difference? Is a sprain still a slight tear? Like is he more susceptible to fully tearing it? I know Ryan Tannehill had a slight knee tear or sprain a few years back elected not to get surgery, rehabbed it and then ended up fully tearing it when he came back...
sounds like he has a Grade 2 sprain which is a partial tear of a ligament and takes 2-4 weeks to heal.

Nope. We get to watch Steed be out of position every play.

Anyone have an update on TAC?
Can’t we position Steed to be in the right place, kind of like Jackie Mason in Caddyshack II with the terrible slice? Just cheat him over a gap and a half presnap read and he will be where he needs to be on time. The question is whether or not he will be so surprised that he can actually make a tackle at that point.

yes a sprain is a tear. the severity of the sprain is just how bad the tear is
