How the **** do they have such an aggressive defense. this is stoops 2nd year and he inherited a roster of sun belt talent and he is playing this aggressive. unreal.

He's great on that side of the ball, all I want in a coach is a mean defense I could care less about offense. Love to watch a mean d all day, still want Butch though.
 
Roster was talented he inherited. Problem was, Joker did not develop talent. Plus, Stoops has really recruited great players. Stoops is the man!

It was not a talented roster at all. 25 players have left since Stoops got there, he didn't want them bc they weren't good.

Stoops would absolutely destroy here. I'm jealous.

What's he's done at UK in that short of time is a miracle. He is definitely not afraid to trust his defensive players.
 
They run a very similar 3-4 as UM has vs Duke and VT, 5 man line, aggressive, tackles flat footed

Respectfully disagree. Always lose players with new coach. The players that remained had the talent, bad coaching. Depth, coaching, and conditioning were all problems last year, Stoops' first year. This year you see the progress.
 
Because he has a pair of ********s between his legs, and in the SEC you need to have a big pair.
 
he blitzed none stop on the top teams in the country. love his balls. Kosar even tweeted about him just now. former cane in kentucky while he have a penn st guy wasting our talent. smh

I can see where this thread is potentially going so let's also keep in mind that Stoops and Kentucky also lost to Muscorch this season. Miss St is just a tadddddd bit overrated and will eventually be exposed.

they hadn't won an sec game in a long time. they shouldn't be competitive yet. its his 2nd year. golden has been here for 4. he doesnt have the south florida recruiting base.

Agreed. My point was mainly directed at the $EC slurpers. Let's say UK somehow wins today. The conversation tomorrow won't be on Miss St being overrated but instead on how "good" Kentucky is. Kentucky will then skyrocket to at least a 15th ranking and Miss St would only fall to 5 or 6 at worst and still be ahead of Nike U, Mich St, etc.
 
Kentuckys defense is playing with a physicality that we haven't or will ever see from a Al Golden coach he'd team. Stoops would kill it here.

The LSU team that scored 7 against Auburn put up 41 against Kentucky.
Jeff Driskel.....JEFF DRISKEL....led Florida to 36 points against Kentucky.
South Carolina scored more against Kentucky than against East Carolina, who doesn't play defense at all.

But people are slurping Kentucky's defense. SMDH.
 
The only three opponents with a pulse scored 36, 38, and 41 against them. That's your aggressive defense that we can only dream of.

you're right. its the same fan base that talks up a corch that lost to 2-8 Maryland, cant stop GT, is 1-2 vs UVA, hasnt beaten FSU, has only 1 win vs teams with 5 losses or less, has fielded the worst defenses in school history, has an identical record to the coach he replaced, etc...
