Kendrick Norton tweet

I'm curious to see what grade the advisory board gives them. A lot of people here tend to overrate our players because they really don't watch any other teams. RJ is going to have to prove to NFL scouts he can play the run besides shooting gaps and getting behind the line. he tended to get bullied by quicker, stronger linemen. Watch the Clemson game again, if you dare. If you're going to be a Warren Sapp, "play the run on the way to the quarterback" type of defensive tackle, you better be one **** of a fantastic pass rusher.

Norton will have a career because 1 technique guys who command double teams and don't get blown off the ball are super rare. Not sure he's quite consistent enough right now to be worth an early pick though. He could definitely use more seasoning.

I could see 80 late second or in the third. But 7 probably goes 5-6 round. Possibly UD.

Mac should leave if he gets 2-3 grade, norton is nuts if he leaves.

I know these kids want to leave early where they can get to that big second contract , but that doesn't matter if you never get the first contract.

RJ was the best player on defense....he was always in the backfield first by like two steps.....hes rip move is elite some of the best hands ive ever seen

People saying RJ should leave are the same people who praise a successful runningback and don't know a single player on the O-lines name.

Neither should leave. IF one did. It would be Norton.

Lmao

no one cares about your amusement. Youre an idiot who doesn't know shid about football if you disagree.

Norton projects higher than RJ. Which is about 15 ish.

RJ is early 20s. That’s late round.

Now, next year, if Norton has a season better than his sophomores more and RJ improves, both to top 3 Rounds.

These kids are top 2 round talents who will be severely underpaid if they leave this season
Thus, they will not get what they deserve if they leave early.

They’re relatively unknown right now. Miami will be hyped next year. More exposure. More success.

Do you people watch any other games on Saturdays? Best hands you have ever seen? Are you the same people that said Dorset would be a great pro once he got away from Golden? Same people that want to stick it to Golden for holding back the Great Anthony Chickillo who has 8 tackles in 3 years in the NFL. If only Golden let him be lighter. Same people that said Yearby should turn pro or Walton might beat him out. No some of you are saying RJ should go pro so he does not lose time to a guy who has not played football regularly in College football. You guys do understand the RJ would have to make a 53 man roster full of Professionals right?

So true!

Chickillo's got more than 8 tackles in his career.

Exaggerating a player's stats to support your opinion puts your entire argument on shaky ground.

RJ should go get his money and Norton should stay. If we can actually get mid rd Juniors to start staying, we might actually be able to compete nationally again. Look at Georgia this year. They had a lot of juniors who could have left, but they stayed and now have a chance to win it all. If all of our Juniors stayed, we could be in the same spot next year!

I don’t think either would get a top 2 round grade.

There’s a huge difference between how we value RJ and his draft value according to multiple websites (yes I know they are just sites but they tend to be in the ball park).

As a fan, i would love for them to stay and this team to be even better next year.

As an adult, i would completely understand them leaving for a paycheck and would wish them well - just keep repping the "U" in the league and come back to be with the family when you can.

As a mentor, i would advise them based on what i see (on tape), what i hear from NFL contacts, and what i know about their family situations. Since i know nothing about #2 or #3 , all i can say is i would not be surprised if RJ left but don't think leaving early is the best move for Norton. Norton seemed to take a step back this season compared to his sophomore campaign as RJ was taking a step forward. Yes, i know he dealt with double teams, but he also rotated out a lot to stay fresh and i just didn't see the same conditioned, disrupting force as before. There's a few guys who didn't look as "conditioned" this year, Pinckney being another one discussed before.

If you think Norton projects better then McIntosh, perhaps you shouldn't be calling people idiots.. unless of course you're standing at the bathroom counter.

Yes, Norton would project better.

The only reason you think Mac is better because you see his effect on the field but did you ever think his impact was directly related to Nortons impact.

3 technique tackles are much more common than 1 techs. 1 techs don't get the accolades and they don't show up on film and the stat sheets but they keep guys like Mcintosh from being sealed out and double teamed. They set the point of attack and anchor the run defense.

A guy like that is much more of a commodity than a guy who splits gaps.

Kendrick would be much more of a prospect than Mac in this evaluation.

This is why I compared you idiots to the fools who praise the Running back but don't respect the o-line.

You clearly don't know **** about player evaluation. just keep pulling up stats and highlights.

Go that way --->with the stupidity....

Quoted for posterity. Football scientists are extremely predictable
“You only think Mac is better because of his effect on the field”

clearly nothing to to do with how good of a football player he is

Just so we're clear nobody, and I mean absolutely nobody thought Yearby should go out early.

How good would he be if he had to hold the point of attack and take on double teams to anchor the run game?

Hes a good player. Balled out. He wouldnt be nearly as good without a stout 1 tech to free him up for 1 on 1 battles.

I guess that part of it escapes you. He's just miraculous all by himself. 3 techsv are plentiful. 1 techs are not.

Youre looking at the end result and not respecting what makes it work.

Not saying he isnt a great football player. Im saying he can get better and norton is the better prospect.

RJ has good tape... but does he match up against that DT from Clemson that worked us a few weeks back? I would say their games are different, but that kid is a first rounder, RJ isnt right now.

I like seeing kids get degrees but this is a dangerous sport. If either of them go this year its RJ. Norton would be best to stay another year and get even better.
