Ken Dorsey (to gauge people's thoughts of him as a coach and his future, not necessarily as our OC for now)

This would be my dream OC hire honestly.

I get that he’s been in the pros but I think he could be our Joe Brady... and yes, I followed his coaching career because he is a cane, but him being a cane is not the reason I want him here. Him being a cane is the reason I am familiar with his success and adoration as a coach in the pros.

I get it, he’s never called plays, but if there’s someone I want to take a chance on as a first timer in the position it is THAT guy!

If we are approaching our HC search as Mario until he tells us no, than I hope if Mario is hired we approach Dorsey as OC the same way.

What's the infatuation with Dorsey besides he is an Alum. It's being the same insanity for 20 yrs on the bias. We need to think outside the box. Briles or Shula son

Cam Newton himself credits Dorsey for much of his success.

Go look at newtons numbers his first two nfl seasons and compare them to when Dorsey coached him. He had the one amazing season, and everything else is very similar.

And Diaz was credited 100%with our defensive turnaround under richt, and that’s the exact reason he got hired as hc. That and the turnover chain. Was that a good hire?

Lashlee was hired because he was supposedly responsible for the SMU offense. I didn’t buy that either. How’s that going?

Why would Dorsey waste his time coming to this shot show? He’s made himself a reputation as an excellent QB coach. Pretty sure he gets paid well for that on top of his NFL retirement salary. No recruiting, no fundraising, no media appearances. Cake.

Josh Allen is the reason Josh Allen is blowing up.

Maybe the best arm in NFL history, big 6'5 frame and athletic. Dude is an absolute stud. Get ready for the Bills to own the AFC East.
Josh Allen also had accuracy questions coming out of college despite his draft status. He's way more accurate now than he was in college

because he has no college experience, college has two parts of a job. Everyone's a GM and a coach, u need to be able to do both. And reason his name gets brought up is because he played here thats it. Would we really as fans be looking at him if he wasn't a QB here?
With that said, wouldn't he make a fine QB coach? We could go for a QB whisperer not named Dan Enos.

I was going down a YouTube rabbit hole and was amazed at how hard some of the old-timers could sling it. One guy I never heard of was Bert Jones... but that guy had a cannon by modern day standards. He was one of the guys that really stood out along with Allen, Vick, Favre & Stafford.

Oh and Jeff George... good lord those guys could put ZIP on a football.

I don’t have enough to give an opinion on the matter - and suppose I could just look it up - but I was under the impression Dorsey had been directing his career to more of a front office/GM role than still coaching (after Carolina). Am I just wrong or did something change? Had no idea he was back to QB’s coach.

This fan base is trapped in the past... Just like the administration.

**** right.

I don't want Dorsey, I want someone who's called plays at this level or in the NFL. I want someone with proven results and he doesn't fit the Bill.

I also love it when people post what some player says about a coach as if it's the gospel. Players always talk up their coaches when asked about them. Let me know when they don't.

When Ken has a resume for a job here, I'm fine with bringing him home. Nothing but respect for the man.

Another great QB with a short career, 1 season, was Greg Cook, in the late 1960s. From the University of Cincinnati, and a first round pick by the Bengals. Injured his shoulder midway through rookie season and still was AFL Rookie of the Year, 1969. Never recovered from offseason shoulder surgery.

Bill Walsh (from 49ers) was his QB coach, maybe OC too. Said Cook was the greatest talent at QB he’s ever seen. And this said after he coached Montana.

We haven't named a new AD yet and we haven't named a new HC yet...but somehow there is a four page heated discussion if we want Dorsey as OC.

Kosar's arm strength was underrated too. Was watching a replay of the 84' OB awhile back, and man was He getting the ball to His WRs with zip & accuracy.
Nah man....Kosar had a weak arm...similar to Torretta's....Testaverde, Kelly, Covington & Morris are the only UM QBs with Cannons...
