Ken Dorsey (to gauge people's thoughts of him as a coach and his future, not necessarily as our OC for now)

He is such a good coach, he is the reason Josh Allen is blowing things up in Buffalo and was the reason why Cam was so good at first. So, the question is does he want to be in the pros of college? Seems like he wants to stay in the pros. I'd love to see him get an OC job somewhere and see how he does. Maybe one day he could come home after he cuts his teeth somewhere? What do you guys think?

I think the fact that Josh Allen plays behind a brick wall is why he's blowing things up.

I watched the highlights from last week - on one play Allen held onto the ball for 6 seconds and was then sacked. On the next play (in the highlights) he held onto the ball for 5 seconds and then overthrew the WR OOB.

I am excited for him. He does appear to have a bright future. Jim Harbaugh eventually went back to his alma mater. I am sure many thought that would NEVER happen considering where he was but it did, so you never know. Its just obviously not the right time now of course.

This is one of the posts that lots of people will crush, but here goes...

When Richt stepped down, a smart move would've been to bring Butch in as HC and Dorsey as OC/Asst HC/Coach-in-Waiting ala Jimbo and Bobbah a few years ago.

Regardless, I would love to see him come back to the U.

I don't want this to turn into a Josh Allen thread but if you're insinuating that Josh Allen is not a good QB then...

Ken Dorsey has put together a very nice coaching resume to date.

2019-present: (Buffalo Bills) • In 2020, Dorsey helped guide QB Josh Allen to finish second in the MVP voting and set single season franchise records for passing touchdowns (37), completions (396), 300 yard games (8), passer rating (107.2), completion percentage (69.2), passing yards (4,544) and total touchdowns (46). • During his first season working with Allen, Allen tallied the biggest improvement in QB Rating (+17.4) of anyone in the NFL in 2019.

2013-17: (Carolina Panthers) • Under Dorsey’s watch, Panthers’ QB Cam Newton passed for 17,154 yards and 118 touchdowns. Dorsey worked with Newton for four of his first six seasons as an NFL QB. • Dorsey helped Newton to being named the 2015 NFL Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year following a Super Bowl run.

Butch wanted nothing to do with UM after Richts hiring....

I think his personality is suited to the league and he's worked wonders with Cam and Josh Allen.

He'll be an OC very soon - not sure if he's HC material.

Recruiting in college doesn't seem like something he'd be good at/keen to do.
He might have worked wonders with Allen (he's certainly improved his footwork), but Newton's mechanics are **** and always have been.

Josh Allen is good cause he's good and the bills HC has always been legit.
