Kelly out at LSU?

So I wonder what the agreement is financially if Kelly just retires.

I know there's wording about offsetting money with a new contract at a new team and the requirement to actively seek employment. But if he just flat out retires what do they owe him?

Fans as well. Maybe not 4 losses but the current landscape of CFB makes it very hard to go undefeated. That being said the worst part of Kelly being fired is he gets 54M. Would love for LSU to find a way to get out of that just so that POS gets screwed over.

If he retires likely nothing just like Richt when he retired from UM. No way a POS like Kelly with no prior ties to LSU is letting them off the hook for entirely.

Forgive me if discussed already, but would LSU maybe take a look at Joe Brady? I keep hearing he wants to stay in the NFL, but that would be an interesting out of the box choice. It would scare me a little since he has no prior HC experience but might also hit.

i bet they look at detroit DC first - former player, loved coaching college- brady not so much

They can’t take that chance. They have to swing for the fence. IMO the hire has to come from this list or it’ll be seen as a failure.
