Kelly out at LSU?

This won’t be the job for him but someone needs to hire Jake ****ert.

The job he’s done at Wake is incredible. 5-2 and a missed offsides against GT from being 6-1 in year 1 with very little talent inherited. Winning with Robbie Ashford at QB and has already 180°’d that defense.
 
Matt Campbell going to either Penn State or LSU. The market will never be better for him. Auburn could get in that mix too. He could ask for $15m and probably get it.

Sumrall will get Auburn or LSU. Fisch or Lane to UF. Ryan Silverfield might be coaching himself into consideration for some of these openings conversations. UF plan C? He’s from Jacksonville.

I think it’ll fade but if Virginia proves me wrong and keeps winning, Tony Elliott is going to be high up on these lists. Might even be Clemson’s plan. Far jump from one of the hottest seats coming into the season.

I doubt it, he may use this as an opportunity to get additional resources, which is he wins 10+ will happen. Miami hasn't had back to back 10+ win seasons in over two decades, the donors will want to do whatever it takes to get him over the hump.

UF isn't nearly the job people believe it is, PSU is a better job. UF doesn't have nearly the money PSU has and PSU has a pretty good talent base practically all to itself(PA still produces a ton of talent and PSU has always done well in Maryland and New Jersey) LSU is by far the best job available, PSU is second, UF is third. UF better hopes that the UT job doesn't come open because they would get bumped down to 4th.

I think Brian Kelly collects his $ and hangs it up. Could maybe see him taking a middling Big 10 job like Wisconsin or Iowa. Maybe Big 12 like Iowa State or back to Cincinnati if they lose their coach in this carousel.

I was thinking VT or UCLA out of the open jobs. He’s already moved across the country in January. Unless he’s homesick, UCLA might be a no for that reason.

Even Florida. They won’t, it’s not flashy enough and the fanbase would be ****ed. But he’s a good defensive coach, identifies talent, and keeps making good OC hires.

Maybe Kentucky opens. That would be a good fit. He’s from Wisconsin if they move on from Fickell. Should be a no brainer.

The governor did the right thing by pulling the trigger on BK. LSU hiring a Tulane coach would be monumental hire because the schools have little to do with one another for various reasons - culturally and religiously. Tulane thinks they’re a cut above LSU and LSU thinks athletically they don’t need anything from Tulane.

I hope campbell gets the lsu job. After kellys buyout that would put them out of business for about a decade like fsu.

But like @Memnon has been saying Dabo is a very interesting person to watch there. He's gotta feel like he wants a full contract reset and to try to do it on his terms I'd think. So I don't think Clemson would fire Dabo this year, but I think Dabo could leave...

I respect @Memnon but the last thing LSU needs is another coach with an over size value of himself that gets contentious with the media from day one is offended when you ask a valid question
