2025 Kellen Wiley Jr, LB/ATH - Armwood HS (Tampa, FL) offered

Facts

When they sometimes say his IQ is his best attribute for a physical position where they are under sized it’s basically a nice way of saying he aint it. But a lot of people on the board were on board with it, I was like Texas TAMU and all those Texas schools said no thanks, then people were arguing cause of HS MVP's which dont mean a **** thing. Always go by who is recruiting you and who are the upper echelon schools on the trail during that time. To me that usually is the most important indicator besides film. As a person though Flagg was a good dude I liked him, but I didnt want my UM linebackers playing like that.
He was a 510 225 LB who ran a 4.9 lmao. The other LB we took his year was Tirek Austin-Cave who had four tackles in 2 years as an upperclassman at WVU. Bro couldn’t put it altogether as a fifth year at New Mexico lmao.

Identification and Evaluation is the name of the game. The 2020 recruiting class was the 17th best class in the country & only half of them were even remotely Miami caliber, p4 caliber, and 3 of them, outta 21, actually fulfilled or exceeded their ranking/potential: Elijah Roberts, X, & Jalen Rivers.

Lmao same guy who holds two records giving up the most rushing yards in a game . Once at Texas and once with us . I never see nothing like it . Looked like a senior highschool running back playing pop warner kids
He had three freshmen linebackers starting and had Shaq Quarterman on a couple all-acc teams and still couldn’t recruit linebackers (or any other position) to come to the U.

He literally did not sign a single linebacker in the class of 2018. How sway??? Waymon Steed was our best LB signee in 2017 & he missed his junior and senior years with injuries lmao. Deandre Wilder was Mike Smith redux where we take a great HS pass rusher who is severely undersized without the skillset to translate to LB; Manny signed him anyways because he couldn’t and didn’t care to recruit anybody else..

These two reoccurrences are fireable offenses on their own; but we won 19 games in two years after winning 14 the previous two so Diaz snaked the pressure because Richt is a nice guy.

Diaz took Sam Brooks Jr in ‘19 who again was a pass-rusher he tried to make a linebacker. Two years later, He AGAIN pulled this 🐂 💩 with Thomas Davis before getting fired. Back to ‘19, he paired SB w/ Avery Huff who finished his career with 8 solo tackles; 7 of the solo tackles came his last year at FIU.

Deshaun Troutman = trash. Then he took two legacy recruits in Chase Smith and Tyler Johnson (Jaquan’s younger bro). Thank goodness Chase is getting some good coaching & is healthy now. I don’t even think Tyler played football again after hitting the portal.

For all Golden’s and Dorito’s faults; that infamous recruiting video of Hurlie/Dorito arguing, at least shows they care! Ironically, the kid Dorito was advocating wasn't even a safety in college but he actually had a good career as a OLB then transferred up from Delaware to Iowa State & had a good last year of his career.

All of Manny’s signees transferred down & out.

Darian Mensah and Cooper B were a fair deal for the trauma & fraud that unfolded. He is a BIG reason why Franklin got fired because he was so trash at talent acquisition.

If he didn’t have Elko’s foundation and Duke’s NIL $$$$ from excess basketball revenue, he’d already be cooked. In fact, the start of him being cooked will likely be this season. We’ll see if he can claw himself backup like Golden did.

terrible hit rate it was bad and what bothered me most it was obvious for a novice like me to see it

So he will go to fsu 😂 soon

I want my LBs 5'10-6'1 and between 220-235. Them Katzenmoyer type LBs are played out like Kwame and them **** polka dots
Nate Webster is my model for a college
Yes including being a complete maniac.
everyone loves to point out that Dan Morgan was the greatest college LB we ever had, but go watch his junior year when they shared the field. Nate was the ******* man!

Forgot those two played together. Holy ****! Almost as crazy as our starting WRs in 2000 were Santana and Reggie Wayne with Andre Johnson off the bench.

Nate was a beast, did not watch him in college cause I was more into the NFL. But even in the NFL that dude was a menace.

I had forgotten we lost to LA Tech in that bowl game. Same year we lost to FIU and beat central Michigan 17 to 12 :ibis-roflmao-sm3::qr12zehp37hu.jpg:

For the first time since the 2007 season, the Hurricanes were not ranked in the AP Top 25 in any week of the season, and ended up finishing with their first losing season since 2007.

We didn't lose to Louisiana Tech, we got shutout.

Shoot me in the face.

:roll-canes2:

i hope we shutout Duke this season.

I'll take Ray Lewis, Patrick Willis, and Brian Bosworth as my model for college LB. The 3 best college inside linebackers of all time, IMO. Throw Dan Morgan in there too. They were all over 6' and 240. Probably played closer to 220-230 in college, but they are big dudes.
Kuechly was better than Morgan.

I remember playing BC and some random white LB was single handedly wrecking our game.

Dude was a menace in College and obviously a first ballot HoFer as a pro.

He's toast.

Manny's combine 2026 high school and transfer portal class was 16th of 17 ACC schools, only higher than Virginia. Taken separately, the high school commits were also ranked 16th of 17 teams, the transfer class 12th of 17 (and remember Clemson is always in the bottom because they barely take transfers).

Add that abysmal outcome to the fact he UNDER-performs the mean in evaluations, and Duke is completely screwed. What happened to all their so-called NIL backers? Manny makes Norvell look like a recruiting juggernaut.

I forgot about Kuechly. Yes, he was an animal. Also, another big and fast inside linebacker.

I remember watching that game and thinking the same thing. How in the world is this linebacker from BC single handedly beating us? I think that may have been the first time in my life watching a defensive player from an opposing team beat us by himself. Was frustrating to watch.
