some of u guys are addicted to being a loser. U gotta learn to be optimistic. Here is a kid who has worked his *** off to get to where he was and has overcome so much and its ppl out here doubt whether or not he gonna work out. yall can miss me and my son with that negativity . When he stands in the paint this year stay on the other side of the fence

I can no doubt see him being on the field a lot this year. Wes, Toure, Bonner will likely be the main guys but Pruitt plays more of a niche role. Wiley should be the first guy to relieve the outside guys while Popo gives Toure a break when needed.

I feel like if Wiley ends up being a freshman contributor we actually have pretty good depth at the backer position. In the all access video I saw Wiley next to popo. He’s already bigger than a 3rd year former blue chip guy. Crazy

Wiley is a good 3 inches taller than Popo so yeah its a big difference. I also wouldn't write off Popo just yet as he was playing pretty well in limited action before getting hurt midseason.

I stopped worrying about LB after we picked up Bonner and Toure, and Wiley development became public. The room went from a liability to being deep if still lacking enough true difference makers. You also have Alderman who was a starter at Louisville (62 tackles in 2023) and Chase Smith who started to show proof of life (finally!) at the end of last season. With a LB coach as their DC, I think we're going to be pleasantly surprised at the production at that spot.

If kickoffs were old school Wiley would be suspended week 1

Popo was always a Mike to me and Wiley the freak rangy outside backer

However you wanna use the terminology I’m pleading for Popo to take that next step under Heatherman

I know Hetherman likes somewhat of a positionless approach but good coaching is about not only teaching but playing to players strengths by putting them in best position to succeed. To do that guys like Toure/Popo function best being those qb's of the defense while Wes & Wiley do their best playing in a bit more space.
