1. First off, look at my previous posts. I want less Chase, and more Wiley. That proof is in my posts.
2. My post in this thread has nothing to do with Chase Smith. Pruitt has played. Marcellin was playing a lot. Bonner has played. All more than Wiley at this point.
3. Everyone with the stupid emojis to my post have honed in on only Smith, but why have the other 3 LBs gotten many more snaps than Wiley?
4. Everybody can always think the backups are better. Im guilty of that too sometimes. But Wiley isnt even 2nd string, so despite all the physical talent he has, something isnt clicking.
And last, and my most important point of my post. Just keep working, whining on social media helps NOBODY. Its a disservice to the team, and to him. Did it get him more playing time? No, unless hes hurt, it got him the doghouse today.
Social media is stupid. Players need to stay off of that.
To all the amazing Madden DC’s on here who clearly know what is going on than anyone actually on campus…especially when equally younger guys, like Wiley, are getting plenty of burn.
You can have all the potential in the world, all the athleticism, but there are a ton of other factors to being a viable player/contributor on the field. Plenty of guys have potential but aren’t earning the trust of the staff. Perhaps, and crazy as it sounds, because some of you all clearly know better, but perhaps at this current time, our very good DC, but obviously not as good as you guys, is not feeling comfortable or trusting in his ability currently in game.
And whining like a spoiled kid, which that behavior is, on social media, merits to be taught a lesson and further reinforces what the coaches may be seeing or believing.
Still, I hold out hope for the kid, based on what I have seen with his dad, it appears to be an environment where the kid works hard and is held accountable. I believe this can teach him well, and we shall see.
Of course this rational thinking will go over the head of many on here. But here’s to hoping some of y’all can just chill the F out and just enjoy what we are experiencing and not fricking nitpick anything you can come up with. This game and season never go perfectly like it does on Madden.
Although I know some of you have your agenda and had to shut the F up during the playoff run and are just subtly trying to attack
