Hate to be pessimistic but are we really expecting a guy is still rehabbing in water to be full go in just 12 days? This is competition at the highest levels not your local YMCA.

Having said that I'm wishing him the fastest recovery possible and hoping he can contribute as soon as possible.
Did you see the pic before where he was in the indoor practice facility?

The kid has a real NFL career ahead of him, so you can't be reckless; however, if he's anywhere near the fence and he wants to give it a go, you tape him up and let him play. Even if he situationally rotates thru for 30% of the snaps, it's a big boost to our defense.

Even if he is back. No way he’s close to 100%.

Hopefully he is though and can contribute.

Since they have the most explosive slot in the country will be interesting if we use any of our outside CB’s there in passing situations. Fitz is probably the best matchup for that though, lord I hope the freshman is ready for that
Guy has played a full season. While he's technically still a freshman, he has plenty of valuable experience at this point and in some big games on the road.

Just a month ago Mario was calling his injury “significant”. When there were rumors that he’d be back if we made it to the playoffs I always thought that meant he would be ready for one of the later rounds (quarterfinals or beyond), not round 1.

I appreciate him hitting the rehab hard !!! We need him out there ! It’s been over 20 years to get to this point!

He is a freshman that at this point has played sophomore reps. In other words, he will be ready.

so, here's the problem. I'm glad Scott is going to return. But what happens with Fitzgerald? Does he play on obvious passing downs as a spy?

4 DL
1 LB
1 Spy (Fitzgerald)
5 DBs (2 CBs, Nickel (Scott), two safeties (Thomas and Poyser))

If Scott's a full go I expect we will see Fitz in on a minimum of 15-30 snaps (depending upon the # of plays A&M runs) like he had been playing with Scott healthy (outside UL when he only got 6 snaps). Does A&M go 4WR much?

they have two guys over 50 (Conception and Craver), a WR at 20 catches, and a TE at 18. I don't think they go 4 wide all that much.

Scott and Fitzgerald have to be on the field. Why not put Scott as a rover/spy on obvious passing downs and put Fitzgerald in the nickel?

Absolutely need him back and healthy. A&M's speed is no joke. Can't be asking O'Connor to cover them. Cannot have Day playing defense in a game like this.
